1 - ELGOAIN
Head north from the starting point and you'll find a group of elves blocking your path. They will make fun of you to varying degrees and then their leader will tell you that there is a goblin cave nearby and that if you want to help them fight the orcs, you'll need to clean it out and get some new loot. So head down the path to the right.
2 - PORTAL
On the way, you'll pass a portal. You'll probably come back here several times to head back to Kelethin to unload excess loot.
3 - CAVE 1
There are actually two caves you can explore as you move in a semicircle around the starting area. The first one is in an alcove to the west. There are goblins and loot down there, but nothing special enough to warrant a whole map.
4 - SAVE POINTS
Moving on, around the semicircle, you'll hit a save point. Head south to a second one and explore the alcove near it for a chest. Moving south, you'll eventually hit a third save point.
5 - GOBLIN CAVE BOSS FIGHT
Now, if you want to get a bit more experience before this boss fight, go back to the save point at the top of the semicircle and go back to heading around to find a few more goblins and fire bugs. Otherwise, save that area for later and head south until you get a cut scene. You enter a boss fight with Guardian Skarlon and his pets. The two monsters he sends after you will follow you all over the map, but you can make the fight easier by leading them back to the various sets of rangers that are patrolling the area. Guardian Skarlon himself isn't that hard to beat without them. You can pretty much stand right in front of him bolding the block button. He either swings 1,3, or 4 times when he attacks, so just attack after he does and block again. After you've killed him, head down to the goblin cave.
6 - OPTIONAL LOOT
When you teleport back here after completing the quest cave, you can head back to where the Rangers were blocking your path and continue on to Greater Faydark, or head back around the horseshoe to the area that you skipped before. You'll find some boxes and chests to plunder.
