Old enmities between men and elves have flared into war! Help protect the elves of Elerin from a Vinsaxi warband.

1 - Arrival

You've decided to ally yourself with the elves and defend Elerin against an attack by the Vinsaxi. In order to complete the mission, you must close three of the four gates before the elves are overwhelmed by the opposing forces. To close the gates, you'll have to activate the four capstans by hand when they are clear of any enemies.

Before the adventure begins, a Vinsaxi Agent makes it inside the city and opens the gate directly to your west. This immediately puts you into battle with several Vinsaxi Soldiers and Archers. Luckily, you have Elf Rangers aiding you throughout the adventure.


2 - Vinsaxi Agent and Capstan #1

Take out the infiltrator, then use this capstan to close the northwest gate.


3 - Vinsaxi and Chest

Two Vinsaxi Soldiers and two Vinsaxi Archers begin the siege of Elerin from this platform. Kill the lot of them, then search the chest for a nice pile of gold and some Splint Armor +1 called "Black Arm."


4 - Capstan #2

Once the northeast gate has been breached, use this capstan to close it again.


5 - More Vinsaxi and Chest

Four more Vinsaxi Soldiers/Archers will charge into the city from this platform once they've managed to get the gate open. Slay them all, then ransack the chest for some gold and a Battleaxe +1 called "Warspite."


6 - Vinsaxi War Party

A group of Vinsaxi have positioned themselves on top of this platform. In addition to a soldier, archer, and agent, you'll be facing a Vinsaxi Wizard. Nothing a well-placed Fireball can't take care of, though.


7 - Vinsaxi Agent and Capstan #3

Slay this Vinsaxi Agent, then head to area #8 to loot the chest before activating the capstan to close the gate. If this is the third gate you've closed, you should be brought to the "End of Adventure" screen. Because of you, the elves successfully held off the Vinsaxi attack on Elerin.


8 - More Vinsaxi and Chest

A few more Vinsaxi will have to be dealt with on this platform before you can gain access to this locked chest. Inside you'll find some gold and a suit of Leather Armor +1 called "Turtlesnap."


9 - Vinsaxi Agent and Capstan #4

Slay this Vinsaxi Agent, then head to area #10 to loot the chest before activating the capstan to close the gate. If this is the third gate you've closed, you should be brought to the "End of Adventure" screen. Because of you, the elves successfully held off the Vinsaxi attack on Elerin.


10 - More Vinsaxi and Chest

Decimate this final group of Vinsaxi, then pick, break, or Knock the chest for some gold and a Composite Shortbow +1 called "Little Talon."
