nobody in particular...
can't really point my finger at one character, although i had murderous thoughts about those characters that bioware intended to make obnoxious at one point or another.
on a side note, interesting assortment of people we have garnered over a period of a year...

Cauterize
seeing as how i'm determined to make a fool of myself tonight, i thought i'd use this as a place to vent (in other words, spam, pretty much)
a song from a favourite band of mine:
there's nothing that i can say to make you want to stay here with me forever
there's nothing that i can do to make you ...

there's a link to near infinity site and such at xyx's website, though if you're looking for a specific engine editor, i'm not sure if it's any help.

that's certainly good news. i don't think i'd end up having more than 1500 files at the most, though, as i don't install a whole bunch of mods (just my preference). now, i've got a p4 1600 with 512 mb but my game basically freezes if i have environtal sound turned on in the sound option (the one ...

A Question Regarding Override Files
I think I saw this question some time ago, but I can't seem to find it.
Anyhow, this is my question: does having a lot of files (1000+) in your override folder affect the game performance in any way?
I have about 800 files in the override folder at the moment, but can some of you testify to the ...

hmm
well, i don't think it's a really good spell, but then as far as save-or-else targeted spells go, it ain't bad either. it basically is as potent as finger of death spell with the same save penalty, and it's only level 5. however, for normal encounters i would argue that emotion: hopelessness ...

didn't think this was implemented in the game...
that's something new... i think i remember reading either from the baldur's gate manual or ad&d book that high wisdom score gives you protection from certain spells but i didn't think it was implemented in baldur's gate 2. i don't remember exactly ...

i'm not sure if this really applies to you, but if you play multiplayer and set the player setting in the options to force the pre-existing characters to start all over from scratch (ie. without experience and equipment) then the computer will roll your hit points all over again. this only applies ...

Silver Weapon Against Shapeshifters - (spoiler)
i have been fiddling around with the Infinity Explorer a bit and i noticed that there's a check for whether a weapon is silver or cold iron. well, i'm not sure if many of you have experienced this but the werewolf leader when doing the shade lord quest - the one that wants revenge on shade lord ...

Performance Issues?!
Ok, here's the thing:
After a couple of months of slavery to Neverwinter Nights, I've recently decided to play Baldur's Gate II again for a change.
The problem is, though, the game will practically freeze whenever I encounter a large group of monsters, and by being frozen I mean that the frame ...
