After your replies to Shadowwarrior I have bought the game (£10 what value!)

Anyone willing to give me starting tips? BG2 was my first RP game and being green in this respect I made lots of early mistakes even in the character creation screen so any help would be appreciated. Also are there any BG2 ...

I played bgI and imported my character so:
Minsc lvl 12
Jaheira lvl 9 fighter lvl 12 druid
Jan lvl 11 Illusionist lvl 11 thief (to be replaced by Imoen eventually)
Me Lawful neut Mage lvl 12
Mazzy lvl 11 fighter
Valygar lvl 11 Stalker

I was so pleased with my first game on BGII (neutral good fighter) I bought BGI/TOSC and played a N/G Mage and imported that into BGII/TOB. So, I have just started Ch 2, my mage is (I think, (I am at the office right now)) lvl 9. With the higher exp points of BGII/TOB should I dual class (never ...

Excuse me being a bit vague here but I am at the office. I have explored most of the map. The only places left to enter are the Tower (Durlag?) Candlekeep, Uhlgoths Beard? (right at the top of the map), and there are still a few quests to do in BG city (e.g. sewers).

Most of my party are lvl 6/7 ...

I have installed the game today and tried playing it. However seconds after the game starts my character cycles rapidly between the talk and fight icon and this will not stop!
The game is unplayable, I have tried it with and without TOSC loaded, before and after running the latest patch (v1.3.5508 ...

I only seem to be able to give Minsc 2 slots and Jaheira 1 in any particular weapon. Is this correct, are they limited or am I missing something? I have read the manual and done a word search on the board but have drawn a blank so comments would be appreciated.

Thanks Vehemence, I had a look at his Character screen and it showed no problems, and I had run the patch a while back, but, went into a temple ask for a cure and hey presto full vision. I assume he was blinded pre patch and it was not fixed so thanks for your help!

I have found the axe that can be used for melee or thrown and it will return to the characters hand and given it to Korgan. I have gone into the axe options and set it to throw. Ah, now things are starting to click. On the battlements Jaheira went all gooey for giving up 5000gp to some muggers who wanted to "use her", and in the battle with a berserking Korgan and Minsc only Korgan would respond to input.
