No automatic spells when you multiclass, just if you start a new character.

CR is Challange Rating. It's a way of measuring 'monster level'.

The basic DC of a spell is determined by the spell's level and the caster's level and a D20.

I think damage resistance makes MORE sense than an AC bonus alone. But it does unbalance the game, as IWDII was not designed for it. I choose not to install that particular portion of the mod. Keeps it fun for me.

And a general note: when installing mods it is best to make a back up save of any ...

offensive:

- AFAIK: the attribute bonus (WIS, INT or CHA) increases the DC
*correct*

- but does the caster level count also ?
*yes*

- spell penetration gives +2/+4 on DC - but also against reflex / fortitude / will saves ?
*no ...

Well I try not to waste time (I'm saving the world after all) but I also like to explore (so I don't miss things). I only rest when I run low on spells (I always have at least 1 mage and 1 cleric) or need to (for whatever reason).

I assumed that there was. But since this is a fairly staple topic of conversation at all game boards I figured It was a safe bet.

I haven't used the moodblade (gave it back) what did it do ?

Poisoned Blood FLails +2 are good too (I have a ranger dual wielding 2 of them!).

Anybody have any favorite weopons ?

Kaerves gave me trouble but everyone else fell easily beneath my righteous fury ! I ended up using half of a fully charged wand of magic missles on him, nothing else did much damage to him.
He seems to be completely immune to piercing and slashing ...

Wow, this is an insane battle! I killed 1 of them b4 they slaughtered ALL of my PCs. And that took 8 attempts !

I downloaded dalekeeper and became confused when I tried to use it. Then I downloaded dalekeeper TWO and added modified mandrake root to my inventory. Problem solved. Thanks !

I did all that and there is nothing to be found. It should be under a rock in the ancient wyverns lair, right ? It's not. I DID find some mandrake root there earlier (b4 putting the spirit to rest), but it doesn't say a thing about being modified. Yeah, I've read thru the walkthru ...

I am trying to work my way thru Dragon's Eye, but I cannot find the modified mandrake root. I put Mandal's spirit to rest and watched the cutscene, but when I go look, I cannot find it.

Any help is appreciated.
