I had the same problem when I fought Balor and used the Skull to summon the Guardians of the other nodes I had defeated. I noticed that if I summoned them before the battle they would only stand there and take damage. If you summon them after the battle begins they will attack.

I am finally on the last node (water) and I went to cast magic missile during a battle and it popped up with 5 hundred and some missiles. This seems great right? No... everytime I cast it the game crashes. Anyone know whats up with that?

After spending two days fighting and dying, I finally defeated the Balor Guardian with every summon monster I had, cone of cold scrolls (I had 10), a web spell and finally a slay living scroll. I downloaded one of the patches (cant remember which one), then I downloaded the Co8 patch. The bugs in the game improved (even though it still took forever to save or to switch screens), but now Im in the fire node and my game keeps freezing. If I download the 3.0 patch will it mess with the Co8 ...

I used the Co8 patch which removes the level cap and was happily able to level up to level 11. The only problem is that in my wizard or clerics radial menu the new sixth level spells arent available. Anyone know how to access?

Thanks for the info....I loaded the Co8 mod and was able to level up to level 11 and write the gust of wind scroll.

A few questions...

First question...I have everything i need to destry the gem except for the Gust of Wing scroll. I had it and sold it before I new what it was...Is there anyplace else to get one?

Second question...Its been twenty eight days since I freed the prince and still no sword for a ...

I sold the masterwork maul to Otis, before I knew what it was for, and when I went back to buy it back...all his inventory is new. Does this mean there is no way to destroy the orb? or is there another way to get the maul. Thanks in advance

Anyone know how to kill an Ocre Jelly?

I noticed that some of my characters have less experience than the others. I know the wizard lost some from making magic items and I assume the others lost exp through dying or being drained by ghouls. My question is...how do get the exp back. I tried using the restoration spell but it didnt work ...

Masterwork items sell for alot of money, but do they do more damage or give a better chance to hit?

I have a Paladin in my party and I read in the walkthrough that if I accept any quests in the Temple my Paladin will fall. Does that mean I cant finish the game? Is it worth it or should I just switch classes before I enter the temple? It seems like I wont be able to enter or unlock certain levels ...

I had alot of luck with a Cavalier (Paladin kit). I had to increase the difficulty of the game a couple times because my man was a little too tough. They have bonuses vs. Demons and by the time you meet demons...you need those bonuses.

I finished the final battle and then I looked in the BG2 files (using windows explorer) to see my new file, but it wasn't there. There's a final save file, but shouldn't there be a file after it? You know..with the changed stats after the tests from hell? Maybe I shouldn't have skipped the credits???
