Why is this game so great? Well, it depends on opinion. There are a lot of fights in KOTOR, but they are turn-based. I don't know the xbox-version, however, but in the PC Version, you can pause the fight any time and give your character and Party-members orders without time-depression. The fighting ...

The crystals you put in a double-blades saber work the same as if you put it in a normal saber. But with a double-blades saber you do 2x 2-20 damage base, if I remember correctly. With two normal sabers you do 2x 2-16 damage and with a normal and a short saber you do 1x 2-16 damage and 1x 2-12 ...

Why does force persuade create Dark Side points? In the movies, good Jedis used force pursuade all the time.

It depends on the situation:

If you for example, try to get a head-bounty rid from a girl and have no success with the normal try, and then use force persuade, this, of course, won't get ...

As one of the poster said, skills add Flavor to the game. But there are certain situations, where special skills are usufull. For a light character, persuade is very usefull, as with force persuade or dominate mind, you are in danger of getting dark points. And often you get more exp, if you solve a ...

Well, I did buy BG1 and didn't like it. I like to level up often in an RPG and see the growing of experience and skills of my character... And BG1 wasn't this! (only level 7 max, if I remember correctly, depending on character-class). I tested Planescape- didn't like it. I tested BG2 - didn't like ...

Well, most of the skills are unimportant. Realy only Persuade and Repairing are important skills, if you want to gain quests/get more experience for quests.

But there are some situations, where the ability to lay mines with your main character comes handy. (You can't lay mines, if you didn't spend ...

Indirect Spoiler(s):

I wouldn't level up any more, until you are at Dantooine. You get plenty of options to heal later in the game, so the healing skill is not that important. You can also heal with a medkit, if you don't have that skill at all. Your skill-rank are the bonus-points, that are added ...

I liked Kotor very much. There are comparisons to Morrowind and Baldur's Gate here all over again. As for those RPGs, I didn't like Baldurs Gate. I like to build up my character(s) in an RPG, and in BG this was an aspect, that was too low for me (only level 7 max, if I remember correctly?)

As for ...

The sith mask is not that bad. But I think, it isn't worth to invest in heavy armor, only to wear this mask.

And I think, the force regeneration bonus doesn't work for some reason.

Masks (Headgear) do a lot: Immunitiy to certain force-powers (I think stasis is a manipulating one...) and some give incredible bonuses to computer, security, and other skills.

I get at least light armor for may Jedis, so they can wear severals headgear. (E. g. for Jolee, as a consular, it's good ...

You don't need Healing realy, if you invest in the heal-tree of the force powers. Put the points into persuade, if you are playing a light character.

And yes, use Zaalbar or the astromech-droid for computer-hacking. And perhaps Jolee, if you want to play with a pure Jedi-Party.

As said, you need ...

I realy have no favorite color. I usually use the class-colors and a violet for specialized staff (normally a solary-staff or a druid-killing one).

But the colors the special focus-crystals produce are the best imho.

Well I don't like this mini-game, too. But you can train, if you have HK-47 in your crew. He can initiate this mini-game for you. (in black-white, however.) And if you trained it a couple of times it isn't that difficult. But I always quick-safe before leaving a planet.

The attacks are random ...

Well, when you talk to Juhani and she is depresiv at the first time, you can ask her if she tries to flirt with you. But aside from this, I haven't got any dialogs for a romance. This works with female and male characters btw.

He sais, he will ambush you, when you don't expect it, but I also didn't see him again.

Did anybody save level-ups? At the first time I played as a scout-consular and saved my level-ups at scout-level 5, as I realized that I can only level up 'til 20. (Almost neutral with tendency to the light side. More dark-powers, however...)

The second time, I saved as much level-ups as I could ...

If you only have one Jedi in your party (bastila), you've probably ended the last Jedi-test in the dark way. Try to persuade Juhani next time... (And don't give up).

Or, of course, load a save game and try to persuade her...
