Obviously I agree with Lordeweller or I wouldn't have made this post. Greater variety of NPCs and a little more control of there development would have been nice albeit the development team can't do everything.

Posted be Radek: "BG2 is not a mission disc. BG2 is a new game with new Imoen, Anomen and so on. You are importing only YOUR OWN character, not Imoen or Anomen. That's why it doesn't matter what you did to Edwin or how you improved Imoen in BG1. Consider Imoen, etc., as completely new characters ...

When I make a post such as this I'm asking those that would care to make comments to be open minded and debatable. My intentions were to see if others felt that the class selection of NPCs limited there options when forming a party. Yes Bioware did an excellent job(I am not attacking the developers ...

Well I do not want to use editors to change Imoen around as I have "dealt" with it. I wanted to see what others felt about the transition from BG1 to BG2.
This is why I usually stick to pen-and-paper RPG's. I am not limited to the technology available. The imagination and old fashioned "physical ...

You don't quite understand my point. I am saying that "I" CHOSE to have Imoen as a level 10 thief and that I would have dueled her in BG2. They "took" my "plan" away when they MADE her a level 7 thief.....that's what I'm upset about. I feel that I should have HAD more control over what I want my ...

Who else is p.o'd about the limited NPC class selections.

I found it very frustrating having Imoen duel to mage when she was only a seventh level thief. Especially since I never dueled her, though I planned on it in BG2(she would be a level ten thief). Not to mention the fact that I had raised her intelligence to eighteen in BG1 so that she would make for ...

I would most definitely pick up Blur. No matter what your present A.C. is blur will reduce it by 3 down to the max -10 A.C.
Also I am not sure if you chose this or not but greater malison is a must spell since it WILL allow you to effect high level characters and monsters with much greater ease ...

Usually powerful scrolls such as this are not accessible to you until later in the game. That way it gives you a sense of progression.

Actually I had the same problem on my first game. I figured it was just a spell error or that she had been chunked. It happened again(and I knew for certain that she hadn't been chunked) and again I could not raise her. I think it may be a programming error.

Exactly! You should take your time and "smell the roses" or in BG terms "smell the char-broiled flesh" from that fireball you just cast!
I do not however rest until I am healed. I merely take my time, and use only spells and/or potions that I bought. I do not use cheats to heal my party.

you battle another slayer. Once you advance far enough in the game you'll be
taken to this battle ...

Irenicus is a real life famous actor and while I can visual his face I can't seem to remember his name.
He's a tall older gentleman with graying hair. Let me know if anyone remembers his name.
