Spoily...

A mage in one of the new wilderness areas that become visible after Underdark has a useful 9th level scroll.
For example: abusing the game engine and AI so you kill firkraag with a cloudkill or with god knows how many traps.
On the other hand, I'd say placing traps outside Firkraag's line of sight and then luring him there is not cheesy. If you can't do that, what non-cheesy use ...
That is odd ... I'd always heard it HAD to be the TOB CD, and that's what I've always used (without any problems) ... have you tried starting TOB? Maybe SOA CD 2 still works as long as you're just playing SOA ...
It's seems that as soon as I start the game if I have no cd in ...
Yes - you'll then be given a choice between SOA or TOB whenever you start up. Note though that once TOB is installed, the TOB CD must be in the drive to start BGII (even for SOA).
That's odd, I always have to have SOA CD 2 on when I start the game. I've made the normal ...
Here's why i think the K/M/T is considerably more powerful and cheesier than the F/M/T:

Kensais cannot wear armor. Neither can a F/M/T if (s)he expects to cast any spells. Kensais, however, gai a bunch of combat bonuses in return for their armor restriction. This gives them ...
a Kensai/Mage/Theif is blatantly more powerful than a F/M/T

the combat bonuses alone make it awesome. add to that kai with a backstab....
I disagree. Sure, the Kensai kit adds some strengths without any disadvantages, but you can play the F/M/T just like you play the K/M/T ...

Sure, I never claimed that I was playing a challenging character. However, since I've never soloed a game, only completed SOA once and never even played the TOB areas, I wanted to create an ideal solo character so as not to have too difficult a time. Having said that, I don't think the Kensai kit ...

I also started my first solo game a little while ago and I'm playing a kensai/mage/thief. I have to say soloing is a lot of fun but also surprisingly easy with this character so far. Backstabbing is very effective, especially with mislead...

I'm not sure what you mean, actually. If the character hides succesfully, he should not try to rehide before he's visible again. However, you can move him normally when he's hiding and he will also attack the nearest enemy whether he's hiding or not.

I'm editing the script from the script compiler ...

I think the problem is that the original script doesn't have an ActionListEmpty() check before trying to hide. This check ensures that the character doesn't try to do anything anything if it already has some orders (like moving). Here's the original script:

// * aggressive attack, always trying to ...

You could also make a simple script that does what you want. As an example, I just made this script for my solo kensai/mage/thief. When there's no enemy around he's always detecting traps, unless he's hidden in shadows. He also won't do anything on his own if he's hidden in shadows or invisible ...

I've been battling with this problem as well, and I've also come to the conclusion that FillSlot() is the only action that seems to work. Of course, in order to use FillSlot() without destroying any of your items, you have to know exactly what weapons (and shields) you are carrying in your inventory ...
