IMO you really dont have to play 1 before 2. 2 takes place a number of years after one and though they make mentions and references to 1 theres nothing involved which would require you to know 1.

this doesn't involve your question but I thought you should know you may run into some problems running banter and flirt at the same time. since they both have to do with force talk they could conflict with each other.

what really stinks about level/energy drain is you wont be able to lvl up until it's removed.

you may encounter bugs trying to run banter packs and npcflirt. they both use a form of force talk so they may interfere with each other. also IIRC I remember reading something at the imoen romance mod forum that there's a conflict with it and ease of use, but forget the exact issue.

well aerie is multi-class mage/cleric. also viconia is probably the best cleric in the game. just becareful if you plan on getting keldorn.

not my first time through but the second time mabey. Im hopeing the valen expansion is finished by then. Probably put an evil party together with valen sol me, viconia(romance interest) and whatever else I chose. but thats after my first play through.

well only problem with that is like I said Im running the imoen romance mod to romance ehr. also there's a component within the mod that actually has her exp be comparable to the Main char when you rescue her.
