I'm in a similar situation and went with the pale master option. That way you still get to advance with the number of spells you get (albeit a little more slowly) but still get some interesting additional abilities to play with.

More importantly though, it fitted in with the way that I was playing ...

Aaaah - I had missed the 'Epic Superior Weapon Focus' feat at L13 which will give +6 to attack by L40 (assuming F7WM33)

But a F7WM33 will get 14 bonus feats whereas a F33WM7 will get 18 bonus feats, so the question is whether 4 additional feats is better than +6 to attack and I guess that this ...

Maybe I'm missing something.

Am just taking my first really close look at the Weaponmaster prestige class and am trying to figure out why I would take weaponmaster beyond L7.

For an additional three levels you only get a lousy +1 on your weapon of focus.

It seems to me that you could be doing so much more with those ...

Vampire arrows

Dem pesky vampire arrows annoy me too.

I don't think they ever get identified automatically. I've maxed my lore (current incarnation is only 16th level) but still no instant recognition.

I'm not sure, but I think that you need to improve your appraisal skill in order to get a shopkeeper to 're-roll' their reaction to you and hence have a chance of improving how you're viewed.

Of course, this could work both ways ......

My character still had the second word of power, so I just saved the character and started the game again at the beginning of Chapter 2.

So far all is going OK, although I had to fast track through the snow globe word again, but that wasn't too bad.

At least I can visit the town again!
