Faust said in his post:

I wouldn't mind the tweaking of the repair system, i.e. the ability to strip your weapons down to parts and the requirement of specific parts to fix weapons.

Thank you! My thoughts exactly

Let's not forget everybody that this a game, so we cannot expect absolute realism ...

And why is the absence of handy repairing kits (in the post-apocalyptic world) perceived as a flawed execution?

It's not the absence of repairing kits that flaws the concept of repairing in this game, you got me wrong there. Repairing kits is just my alternative idea of using repairs based on ...

Kipi, Elevoros & Lady Dragonfly thanks for posting. Some comments of my own on your thoughts:

When I'm referring to repairing kits as an alternative to what i perceive as a flawed execution of the repairing concept I'm not referring to spare parts but to the tools that keep a weapon in good ...

Repairing: Excellent concept, flawed execution

Hello everybody.

Fallout3 is an amazing game, an absolute catastrophe for social life, for as long as you start playing there isn't any time for such trivial things...

I mean, it's Fallout, man!! Super Mutants, PipBoy, Big Guns...

...mmm Guns you say, and we all know that for guns to work as it ...

IMHO for the skeletons "turn undead" is all you need. I had both my paladin and ranger/cleric (fully armored and everything) just stand there turning undead while the other two used long range weap. or magic.

Of course this is only possible with a small party (4 max) and in hard difficulty ...

After extensive searching I've discovered that there is a UKpatch for IWD (not HoW) that promises to fix this particular problem. So, it remains to be seen. Thnks anyway mr Sleep for trying to help.

IWD with all its expansions has always been heavy battle orientated, so there is a fair chance that IWD2 will follow the same line as its predecesor.

Now, for the other question, after having played the game quiet a few times, I have concluded to the following party combination which provides ...

Game crushes...serious help wanted ! - possible spoilers for newbies

There is this an old fatal bug in the game where after you kill the Frost Giant Joril in the glacier and take the second badge, the game crashes when you try to move on to the next area.

I have finished the game many times in the past, with or without HoW installed, but that was long ago and now ...

**Ulfen** It is strange that you ask of opinions based in the historic contex of the saga and at the same time you point at a stalker or a paladin as the intended protagonist class. How did you come to this conclusion? To be a paladin you must be a member of an order and maybe pass a test or two ...

So, what's the story with Druid Shapeshifter class

I'm thinking of staring a new game as one but I believe there are plenty dark spots there...

First of all, which ones of your attributes and how many points do get raised when you change to warewolf/greater warewolf?

Secondly, are your "paws" considered +weapons like monks fists? Because if they ...

So, if I get it right, most of you think 78% MR (maybe a little more using magical equipment) is acceptably balanced, meaning that it is high enough for defending against enemy spells but also allows for several protective spells that otherwise with MR over 100% would be resisted? Thats my ...

78%... that is lvl 26, right? What about the next levels? I know many people believe monk is overpowered, but the final 78% just isn't fair  ! It makes the monk not worth playing beyond lvl 26 - there is nothing to expect for (from a roleplaying advancement point of view).
