Thanks for the suggestions.
While I loved having a multi/dual class mage in my party in BG and BG II, from what I hear single class is the way to go in IWDII, so I will probably stick to those.
Having the bard fill in where she can will probably be the best since I didnt initially plan on ...

Rounding out my team and spell selections
This is what I have so far:
Human Fighter x/ (?) y
Halfling Cleric of Tempus x
Elven cleric of some sort
Human Rouge x / Bard y
Human Sorcerer x
Elf Wizard x
So here are my questions:
1. What kind of cleric should my second one be? I am going to have a mixed good/evil party, so I am not all that ...

While BGII is still very good, I too miss the forest maps of BGI that are now missing. Sneaking through various forrests trying to find Brage and Bassilus (well, the first few times I played anyway, before you had all the maps memorized) was half of the fun. Sometimes it is annoying to have to go ...

I have always preferred clerics to druids. Shapeshifting never interested me much and druids have too many restrictions. If I really want druid spells, becaue many of them are good, I can just take a R/C and I get a more offensive cleric (can get ** instead of only * in weapons) as well as every ...

Unless you are a cleric, not much. If you are a cleric, it determines how many bonus spells you get per level and what your highest level of spells you can learn. For level 6 spells you need a 17 wisdom, for level 7 spells you need 18 wisdom, but that doesnt really apply until BGII

I have to go with Curry too, with the addition of the Longbow of Marksmanship. Get an elf ranger/fighter with 19 DEX, Longbow of Marksmanship, and Bracers of Archery and you have a pretty powerful fighter on your hands. If he has Varscona as a melee back-up, he is pretty set

Aligntment doesnt much, but charisma sure does. A high charisma means lower prices in stores which can come in very handy. I dont know if or how the reaction adjustment was worked in though, and that is supposed to rely on Charisma. Alignment stuff only matters in regards to reputation and how the ...

Good time to take on TOTSC quests
I am currently at the beginning of Chapter 7 (just escaped from Candlekeep) and my party is this:
PC Cleric, lvl 7
Jaheira, lvl 5/6
Minsc lvl 6
Khalid lvl 6
Imoen lvl 7
Dynaheir lvl 6
Dynaheir is a few hundred EXP away from levelling up.
So everyone is around 60,000 EXP (and I just noticed playing ...

If I play mage, I usually either play an Elf vanilla mage or Gnome Illusionist. I never found the lack of necromancy spells to be a problem in BG I, although I hear they become more useful in BG II. Necromancer would be interesting from an RP sense yes, but I would think missing things like Mirror ...

It usually depends. I usually make my characters CG, so the fact that they are both more or less murderers doesnt make me lean either way. It usually comes down to whether or not I have Jahiera in my party. If I do, I side with the druids (seems natural that she would try to influence you to side ...

Question about EXP distrobution
My current party is as such:
PC R/C
Imoen
Jahiera
Khalid
Minsc
Dynahier
So my question is this; how exactly do my points get distributed? If I get 600 exp, does it go 100 to each character, meaning each class in my R/C gets 50 and each class for Jahiera gets 50, or does it get spread evenly between ...

You can, but it takes a little longer. For a while, your cleric/ranger will be level 3/2. At that point, you cant get 39 hit points, it just isnt possible with the rolls you get. However, when your ranger changes to level 3, you will be able to gain hit points again to reach 39. That being said, it ...

Avenger or Totemic
Currently, I have a R/C and Sorcerer going on in the game, but for one reason or another I decided to try a new character. Now, the only class I havent tried yet in BGI or BGII is a druid. In BGI, they just didnt look that fun or interesting, but in BGII with higher lever spells and kits I figured I ...
