No problem Tricky.
As I said, Ethereal Elves isn't bad, but I prefer Less Harsh Elves, I've decided. When you do get the game, just be sure to make backups before installing mods and test them out on separate saves. Bethsoft themselves have confirmed that clean mod removal in this game is virtually ...

No joke Tricky ;)
In **my** game they don't look like duckfaces. In most of those screenshots people are using other mods that give the effect. I don't use such mods, I stick to Xenius' Character Enhancement.

That being said, in my next install, I'll probably go back to Less Harsh Elves because ...

That one is always a tough one for me. In a way it reminds me of real world conflicts... both sides are somewhat repugnant.
In the end, though, I've almost always went with the Imperials because while the game's opening scene doesn't exactly give you the warm fuzzies toward them, ultimately it are ...

In The Stars (spoilers for a certain Daedric quest)

Alright, there is plenty of discussion out there on The Black Star vs Azura's Star, but these debates tend to focus on the material advantages of one over the other.

So here's the thing that makes me scratch my head... While I would not, by any means, describe myself as a hardcore roleplayer, I do ...

I only just installed this today, and so far I'm extremely impressed, it makes Aela into a much more interesting companion.

Since Vilja interacts with Aela (granted Emma was limited to available sound files, but it's not bad), having the two in tow makes Skyrim feel much more like a party-based ...

Recently came back to Skyrim myself (though I still don't have any of the expacs), and currently I'm going somewhat light with the mods, but there are a a number I really like, in addition to the essentials such as SkyUI:

Xenius Character Enhancement - improves the appearance of the characters ...

Thanks so much Tricky!
I wonder why it can no longer be found on portrait sites... Probably because of its supposed "adult" nature. Honestly, it's just a topless women, most people *know* what topless women look like, and I think it's actually quite tasteful. Indeed... a lot of those portraits ...

Looking For My Portrait

I have recently fired up BG2 again for the umpteenth time...really, it is hard to find a better game. ;) Anyway, I am somewhat distraught to discover that I can't seem to locate my portrait any longer. (it is the one from which I derive my avatar here)
It used to be at Kirith's site, but it appears ...

Hi Tricky,
have you looked at Xenius' Character Enhancement ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2356 ) ? This is the complete mod, you can also just use certain parts; simply look at his profile for the individual mods. I have installed:
Detailed Faces
Detailed Lips
No More Blocky Faces

I am also ...

So... if CD Projekt can do it..what is everyone else's excuse?

I'm actually quite ambivalent about the advent of voice-acting, and I think it is, at best, a mixed blessing. Typically, it's expensive and sucks up resources, and it can also complicate the creation of player-made modifications.

However, I've recently replayed Witcher 1 (the Enhanced Edition ...

Hmmm...
I've actually had similar questions about GW2. I played LOTRO for a while during two different periods, but in both cases the constant grind, and "go kill 10 boars" quests simply became too tedious. There was also a lot of WoW bashing amongst the community there as well, and while some of ...

I wouldn't necessarily call it low system requirements, but Turbine (creators of DDO) also made Lord of the Rings Online f2p; it's one of the better ones out there. I played for a while, but as happens to me with MMOs, I got sick of it because of the grinding. As MMOs go though, it's not actually bad.

@Nymie_the_Pooh, sounds like we have an extremely similar setup!
The mod is still working great. Initially I was cautious in my settings so as not to stress my system, I had no idea how it would respond.. but now I have all of the shaders running and the whole nine yards, all very smoothly! :D ...

There are several ways of addressing this issue. My personal favourite is to complete the entire Thieves Guild first, and then start doing the Fighter's Guild quests. This will negate the conflicts... However, you will miss a small amount of content, nothing all that major though.

I have done all of the quests for the councilors under skar (the big shell). I just went around to all of them and they keep telling me about the red book of councilors which I have and I have read all of their names. I have completed all of the quests but the plot does not advance.

Alternatively ...

Just saw this.
I concur, for a new character with those dark light settings, illumination can definitely be an issue. On the two characters I have thus far created since this install I have bought a Night Eye spell... though they both have Illusion as a major, which helps. Once you have the cash ...
