When you first meet Beckett you get the option of asking him to teach you about shapeshifting. He goes on to explain that it isn't possible because disciplines are powers of the blood and cannot be learned like skills and talents.

You do need to go down the 'drain' as you described. As you move towards the rotars you need to grab on to the ladder and get out. There will be Tzimisce creates in the two sewer holes near where you get out so kill them ...

What's strange is I was offered the same side quest, but to get a poster of the resident psycho, Jeanette tastefully posed (covering all necessary bits). Only THEN was I offered the VV side quest. Maybe that's because Jeanette killed Therese.

I have made it through to Chinatown without coming across the Giovanni Mansion mentioned by Pisha in the hospital downtown. I was wondering if perhaps I have missed it ... how is that quest activated? Or should I say, where if the mansion actually located?

Protean benefits from the unarmed feat, so increasing your brawl (talent) and strength (physical attribute) will increase that. eg. my Gangrel is currently Strength (4) and Brawl (4) so that means he has an unarmed feat (8). Ofcourse, higher levels in Protean give you better use of the unarmed feat ...

Actually, you gave me the answer I was after. I just wanted to make sure my Gangrel character getting the second haven wasn't a bug. In other words - making sure it is not only the Ventrue players that get it (as some websites have claimed).

That is a good point about werewolves - they are supposed to be a hell of a lot stronger than Kindred. Then there are a number of things the game designers have taken liberites with. When I tried that guy at the Surfside Diner out he kicked my butt

Best guess is that he's a werewolf since Level 5 Protean for a Gangrel seems to look different. Maybe it was just my timing, but it seems that he may have been the source of the werewolf blood LaCroix has you go after.

I'm playing a Gangrel too. The best social feat I have is 2 levels in Intimidation.
