Sometimes, if done right.

I'd just like to point out that Baldur's Gate 2 had level scaling. But it was done right. Since you could undertake certain quests at various levels, the game might throw more or tougher enemies at you. If you went to do Firekrag's quest as soon as you left Irenicus ...

Just finished the game and it seems to me that Obsidian went with the "more is better" philosophy: More upgrades, more weapons, more powers, bigger stats, higher levels, etc. Not a bad idea, but not enough. The game is a munchkin's wet dream, but all the items get a bit annoying and the random drops ...

I'd suggest the first two Thief games. I played the first Splinter Cell and I was a bit dissapointed. The game is just too linear. It's like walking down a really long corridor with wery few options....

Wrong. Bloodshield is always useful. Trance doesn't work, but Suicide does a healthy amount of damage, and Blood Missile can do a ...

Melee tremere bad? Hardly... True, they don't have the "common" mellee disciplines (potence and fortitude), but they have one of the best close combat disciplines in the game - Purge. Needless to point out, purge only works at close range, and works well, buying you time, leaving the enemy open for ...

Along the wall you should run into a group of homeless bums. To the right of them there should be a bunch of old boards leaning against the wall. The gap is behind those boards.

Actually, I was saddened that there were fewer places where a skill of 9 or 10 would be required....

V:TM doesn't do random number checks. If your skill is high enough to do something, that means you did it, no rolling of the virtual dice and such. Now, say I make a character with Persuasion of 10 ...

Try not to waste too much time on the Runners and focus on the boss himself. He'll keep teleporting around, so keep at him. Celerity will help here. Keep thwacking at him, and don't forget to use your blood packs. If you're a close combat character, don't forget blood buff.

In all my runs through the game I managed to frenzy once and it's hardly a considerable factor in the game. Generally I consider it a bad idea since IMO the bonuses aren't worth losing control over your character. If you wish to try frenzying, keep your humanity as low as possible and get hit with ...

Also, if darkness is a problem, you could use Auspex (if you have it). That'll brighten the surroundings a bit (Protean also helps if you're a Gangrel)

I fail to understand what's so tough about this quest. I managed to fail it once and that was because I was only guarding one gate.

Basically, kill about a dozen at one gate, run to the other (ignore zombies along the way), kill another dozen or so (starting with the ones attacking the door), go ...
