On another "puzzlement" ... what about ... "patches" ... when SOA and its bug patch are installed, would installing ( but not starting ...

How far do I have to go in a bew game of SOA before I can jump to TOB, and have a "romance" continue? Thanks

I had already done that ... NOTHING happened ... which is why I posted the question!

I'm puzzled ... I'm in BGII SOA, and doing the Jaheira romance ... with the "flirt pack" installed ... presently in chapt 6, but doing all the "side / mint" quests. Jaheira was just given a "Harpers Pin" by "Terminsel" (anagramed name) ... and shortly thereafter she gave my character some sort of ...
