I beat them entirely by with entirely with either the cloudkiss throwing axe (found at end of 1st level in dragons mouth), or the +5 throwing axe with electrical damage. I started the battle using the +5 one, but the cloudkiss worked better because I could hit them both at the same time for 10-15. I ...

Don't go out of the cave entrace (on the ledge), you need to take the ferry to the 'exit to the fields of slaughter' and take the exit that is directly south of the cave entrance. Sorry if that sounds confusing. Move your mouse down from the main entrance and you will notice it change to another ...

Go outside the ice temple and get buffed with that fire shield that the wizard will cast on you (for $$$). Then run back into the ice temple and win those battles! :)

I don't think I can handle HOF as my solo character if it is so tough. Thats asking for a bumkicking.

Has anyone tried playing the game with a Half-orc Wizard and Halfling Fighter for laughs?

Hit and run for the the toughest battles yes. Many of the non-boss battles though was just a matter of finding a corner where I wouldn't get completely surrounded, pick off the casters with ranged weapons and then deal with the melee types. A quarter of the way through the game I was dual wielding ...

One thing I do wish though.. Is that Arrows of Biting were more plentiful in the game. Those arrow were my favorite Mage Killers, because one arrow would poisen them, disrupt almost every spell they cast, and then kill them. Too bad I didn't get these till 1/2 way through the game, because they ...

I'll have to check this evening about final Items / Gear and feats.. I finished the game with 4 potion bags (full), 2 bags of holding (full), 3 gem bags with rings of various abilities, and then a couple scroll cases. I had relatively good stats towards end of game with all my equipment on. I was a ...

I played a Human Fighter. Starting stats of

STR 17
DEX 16
CON 15
INT 10 ?
WIS 9
CHA 9

As I leveled, brought CON & DEX up by 1 and then pumped the rest into strength. If I had to do it over again I would have put a point or two into WIS because my saving throw was really bad. Unfortunately of all ...

Beat it solo! (finally)

Played a pure fighter. Very challenging playing solo. My worst experiences always had to do with Hold or Blasphemy spells. My favorite experiences was getting the Cloud Kiss Throwing Axe and little slippers towards the end of game (+5 dex). By the end I was level 25. Most of the feats are obtainable ...

I have all the humanoid portraits at home. I wanted to make an editor program, but gave up for lack of time. I don't know whether its no no or not to distribute them though. Have you tried downloading BioWares 'offical' Fan kit? I haven't yet, but I know its description says something about ...

There is an editor like program called Leto . I've used it before and it is really useful for modifying your BIC character files and converting the toolset .ERF character exports into BIC files. Good luck!

All I wanted to say was just a warning against using recursion with something that may go on infinitely (or until the server crashes, reboots). If the beer song ends after 100 repetitions, then disregard my posts. If not, then what I was trying to say is that if function a() calls function a(), so ...

Aren't the events simply handled similar to signals and interrupts? I could be wrong, because I do not know biowares underlying framework. You define the different signals (or events) and then provide the code to execute when the interrupt is caught. My guess is the function that causes an event to ...

I would suggest staying away from recursion because it will slowly fill up your memory after a while (if it does nothing but call itself and never return). The servers stack may start to blow chuncks eventually. My suggestion would be to rethink the while loop idea in conjunction with the ...

Good news.. Chyane is finally back in action. And yes Benwani, she's learned her lesson not to step foot in the bugbear cave every again :D

Now all Chyane needs is a cashcow. Lost a lot of money purchasing all the things she used before surfing the fugue.
