I was actually relieved when I found out, because otherwise it was a bit too much like Episode 1 - "This boy is too old to train... blah, blah, blah... but we'll take him on anyway and put him under the wing of a wilful, maverick master just to see what will happen."

Thanks for all the tips. In the end, I found that he was susceptible to whirlwind, and down he went. It's funny how sometimes you just need to catch one lucky break (like a dark jedi master failing a save against whirlwind) and you've won the fight.

Where are you in the game? If you're right at the beginning, then just be patient. Choose whatever class suits your playing style (based on the description) and just play. You won't miss the opportunity to become a Jedi, I promise.

Thanks. I was roleplaying and figured my character would visit the closest planet first... Anyway, I'll let him live - for now.

Manaan help, please (spoilers)

I went to Manaan right after Dantione and walked into the Sith base to recover the droid data module. So, I'm pretty low level. I managed to almost clean out the base and then ran into the dark Jedi master. He's slaughtering me, depiste all sorts of tricks (knight speed, force valor, hyper stimulant ...

Thanks! I ran a hardware compatibility check and it indicated that my card wasn't up to snuff and that I need a new driver, too. I figure I'll upgrade the card, then make sure the driver is OK. I'll probably have to throw in some more RAM to get to 512, too. So much for getting the game for a good ...

Video card for KOTOR?

First, sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I was about to start playing the game last night and discovered, to my great disappointment, that my graphics card can't support it! It's ATI Rage 128. The game works but the characters are just white shapes with no textures. Not that much fun to play ...

D'Oh. You're right about the baatezu. I remember seeing it in the Outlands.

Thanks for explaining about Kitla. I played through almost the whole game as a mage, so all she had for me was a scroll (good one, though).

Thanks!

Loose ends? (Spoilers)

I am trying to figure out whether the following are loose ends or whether (more likely) I didn't approach them the right way:

- The baatezu in the Curst underground. Other than information about the war machine, do they serve any other purpose?

- Kitla in Curst (the one who wants the legacies ...

Tomb plans?

Having finished the game, I found not use for the tomb plans. Why do they have a "use" button when you examine them? Are they useless?
