I'm not entirely sure what ur question is. From what I can tell ur question is jab or charged strike. Until u gear up jab will probably be preferable for the reasons u listed. I may be wrong but I didnt think u could switch players easily from online to single player and as such it may make gearing ...

Just throwing this out there but its probably not right. Sounds very vaguely like Neverwinter Nights. I know u start in a jail and there are ships involved somewhere along the line. Been along time since I played.

Are any of the new games priced any better? Even at Wal-Mart all the newer games are $40. The only way I get a game is as a present or once its old enuf to be in the $10 rack.

Unfortunately I can offer no help but I think u may be misunderstanding his problem. Sounds like the game is too slow and he wants to speed it up not slow it down.

Im not sold on multi classing. As I said it is tough to turn these buggers until u have some levels under ur belt at Cleric which as u stated may weaken ur character.

I hope someone else can be of more help because I havent played POR in a long time but I recall having alot of trouble with them as well. I seem to remember using a wand against them altho which kind escapes me. The only thing I can tell you for sure is that a cleric wont help much if u just began ...

The damn pit vipers around Nihaluk in Diablo2. I dont know what it is about there poison but it'll kill u in about 5 seconds no matter how much resist u have.
