Can you get that XP at any point in the game or do you have to up Perception very early on and find out the info before, say, you actually dispose of the guy for Knox?

As I never saw a torch-wielder until the unofficial patches came out, did one of the patches add a random chance that a hunter would come after you, regardless of your masquerade violations (or lack thereof)? I never went through all the "readme" files for all the patches. I haven't had that happen ...

When I played a Gangrel, I quickly abandoned Protean (for Animalism). I just didn't like the way the PC moved slower in War Form (at least it seemed slower to me). For example, in the diner, the sabbat guys that Therese sent after me could move away from me and get an extra shot or two at me while I ...

Glad you did - I hadn't seen this thread before. Now I've got more choices to make for my next time (4th) through the game. Not only do I have to choose which clan but now which skin.

Velvet's poster (spoiler text follows) just appears in your haven one of two ways. If you do everything VV asks the way she wants it done and are nice to her, she'll tell you that she's sending one over (and it just shows up). The other way to get it is to retrieve something for Gary (he'll email ...

I'm currently on a Brujah focusing almost solely on Unarmed. It's great fun doing vicious loads of damage with my bare hands. A high Unarmed paired with Celerity, Potence, & Presence is unbelievable - you run out of blood quickly using all those disciplines, but you can dispatch enemies quickly ...

Don't know what level of Celerity that Bishop has, so I can't say if you'll move as fast (or faster) than him. Bullets affect the undead less than unarmed or melee but still do damage. I played the game through as a Malkavian specializing in Ranged rather than Melee or Unarmed, so I think the ...

I hear ya - as a Malk, I picked a response (I didn't know what any of my possibilities meant) to Nines early in the game in The Last Round, and he cursed me out and wouldn't speak to me again.

As for the second VV quest, both as a Gangrel and a Malkavian, I had to leave the conversation after the ...

I never played the PnP games, but if the setting is New Orleans, I'd have to say I'd be tempted (grew up in the New Orleans area). I'd know where to hide around the St Louis Cathedral, at least. ;)

I've had to uninstall and re-install in the middle of a game. You don't have to lose your characters. There's a point in the un-installation process where you will be asked if you want to delete "all data files" or something similar. Choose "no" and your save folder will remain intact. Conversely ...

What's the point of stealthing through the garage? Do you get extra points for getting the briefcase without killing anybody? I just ran through, laid waste to everyone, and picked up the briefcase when I was done. I got all the benefits from Fat Larry, too.

I finally got some TV interaction. I walked into my haven (I'd left the TV on), and the newscaster said, "Hey you" as I walked past the TV. When I responded, he told me a joke about a tuna and a sushi chef.

I love playing the game as a Malk, but I'm a little irritated at the clothing choices for a male Malk (I haven't seen the female Malk "outfits"). I mean, I'm a crazy vampire, but I don't have to dress like a buffoon.

I'm in Chinatown and haven't been able to talk to any of the TVs or the stop signs ...

Perhaps Activision was responsible for rushing the game out. The point is that it got to shelves before all the bugs were fixed, most likely due to money. Maybe Activision had invested a bunch in the game and wanted some sort of return before Troika went under and left Activision with nothing. I don ...

Given Troika's troubled economic status (now gone under), I am sort of the opinion that they rushed the game out before fixing lots of little things like grammatical errors in the hopes that game sales might keep them afloat a little while longer.

Yeah - it would have helped if he'd mentioned it when you get back from the museum, but he's too busy ranting about the sarcophagus. A little, "what about the black box? Did you find that?" from him would've been appreciated.

Thanks again - I'm one of those gamers who likes to complete everything ...

Little Black Box?

I've searched the forum like crazy and can't find this addressed...
When the Prince gives you the museum quest, he mentions, in addition to the sarcophagus, that you should be on the lookout for a little black box that he's interested in. I've been through the museum twice now (once as Gangrel, once ...
