What parts of ME1 affect ME2?

Does anyone know what parts of ME1 affect ME2? I mean, I've found mention on the ME wiki of how ME2 can be affected by who you choose to romance in ME1. And in press material, Bioware's made reference to various quests and their endings changing things in ME2. But, is there a list somewhere?

I'm ...

Uh, nvm - turns out that the 'save ashley' I was seeing was the first one, the mission you're on when you get to the choice point, not the one after you've made the choice. Ashley is safely dead, Kaidan isn't, and I'll do the whole thing in reverse when I play MaleShep. Woohoo!

Yeah, that's just the thing though - both the auto-save and the quick save are from directly before I go up the elevator to where the choice takes place, but they show 'save ashley' in my journal, even though it hasn't happened.
I'd really hate to go though all of Vermire again, just to find it was ...

Virmire Choice - Unchangeable? (big spoilers)

Okay, I got to the point in Virmire where you have to choose between Ashley or Kaidan. But my computer is laggy, so I accidentally clicked the wrong one. I loaded a couple quick/auto saves from before the choice, but they each show 'save ashley' in the journal. I have an earlier normal save from ...

I never use T3-M4. Well, I do when I have to, like in Vogga's warehouse, but apart from that he stays on the ship. There really aren't enough skills for me to need him - between Atton, Kreia, myself, Bao-dur and Mira, I've got everything covered for computers, worktables, lab stations, disabling ...

The Arena Crowd

When I do the Arena quest, I get told that if I impress the crowd, they might give me stuff, and I see a little health-like meter that I'm pretty sure represents the crowd's enjoyment, but in the couple of times I've done the Arena, I've never gotten that meter full and (consequently, I think) never ...

Well, I play DS and while I don't kill every mother and her child *unsubtly points people to her thread on the R in RPG* I most certainly play darkside. Not all DS-ness is about killing the innocent. When faced with either morality or credits, I go unabashedly towards the latter. I like power, and ...

Mmm, I see what you mean with the grey jedi thing, but that wasn't right for my character (is using an example). She was evil - her character flaws weren't enough to 'redeem' her.

Plus, grey jedi-ing prevents you from getting both prestige classes and a nifty sidequest in K2. It probably will in K3 ...

Nope, haven't tried it - I generally try to keep my games as 'clean' as possible, especially when they're cakewalks to play in the first place (like K2). I've had enough time-consuming game reboots thanks to the Handmaiden Robe glitch, and this one sounds like It'd have your game restarting so often ...

Dunno about weapons, but:
For armor, if you/any of your NPCs are hardcore jedi (uses a lot of powers) go for either Zeison Sha or Jal Shey armor. I swear by it. You can upgrade it immensely and pretty much anyone can wear it, excluding Kreia, I think. The only 'downside' is that it makes male ...

K3 should put the 'R' in 'RPG'.

K2 was pretty good, in that you didn't have to just be a weak pawn of the republic and could join just about any faction you wanted, including the almighty sith (no points for guessing what I chose).

But it didn't leave you much in the way of playing a personality. Sure, you had to say certain ...

Yeah, one of the funniest (well, to me) parts of K2 was when you trained characters to be jedi, and they 'closed their eyes'...but actually kept looking at you. More varied facial expressions are definitely in order.

As for weapon-waving, they could hook up something like in Fable (if you showed ...

How about different floors in the same map area then? Every map in K1-K2 was very...linear. There might be a change in elevation, but to get to a different floor you had to load to a different area. Plenty of RPG games have multiple floors in one area. Again, it's a small thing really, but it adds ...

The Smaller Touches

Call me silly, but I have a thing about jumping. No matter how useless it might be to the game at hand, I always feel cheated if your character is chained to the ground. I'm not saying that there has to be some sort of major 'Jumping Quest' or anything, but maybe along the way you could get over ...

HK-47 and droid-speak - what's the point?

I noticed that one of the options in leveling up HK-47 is a feat that enables him to communicate with non-basic speaking droids (sorry, can't remember the name). What does it DO!? I have played the game through, but can't figure where that ability would come in handy, although that could be because ...
