Actually...

Character Level is limited, XP is not. In other words you CAN reach level 20 as any race...it just means you have a longer haul. I got my Aasimar Warlock to level 19 by End Game, and after besting the King of Shadows used a Console Command to give me more XP. It leveled both me and ...

Actually...

The Firetooth Dagger is in Ust Natha in the Underdark. One of the Drow merchants in the 'town square' has it for sale.

I think you're thinking of the Crossbow +4 Firetooth, Curdis. :)

Hope this helps. :)

Rightily-dightily there Ned. :)

The Defender weapons could shift their total pluses about from to hit and damage, and AC. In fact there was a +6 defender in 1st Edition D&D, which seems a bit sick to me.

So...Drizzt's scimitar defender is indeed a +5 weapon, but it is frozen with 2 pluses in AC ...

In the directory that you installed BG2 in there is a file called baldur.ini.

Enter the following lines to the game play section:
Debug Mode=1
Cheats=1

To access the CLUAConsole you simply hit CTR+Spacebar

Hope this helps. :)

Definitely worth it. :)

An interesting note is that if you've played BG2 you'll recognize a bit of the map in Durlag's tower - the area where you rescue Haer D'Alis from is one of the upper levels of the tower.

Just an amusing bit.

The TotSC expansion adds a lot of new spells, and items, and the ...

IIRC you can only backstab with thief weapons. In other words the weapons a thief could normally use. This would omit two-handed swords of any stripe, or halberds for that matter, or even the staff of the Magi, since it is flagged as a mage item.

The staff of the ram, or the staff of Rynn however ...

Gandalf would win, assuming Elminster didn't flee via esoteric means. :)

Gandalf is a demigod, though...come to think of it it would be like comparing an apple to a pomegranate - both are round, red, and fruits...but they are still VERY different.

The magic of Middle Earth is nothing like any ...

I honestly don't remember there being any advantage or benefit to returning the blade.

Personally, I love the Wild Mage's dialog, and usually just fight the silly git. The Vorpal sword is definitely one of the nicer weapons you can acquire. :)

Aerie is Avariel, a species of Winged Elf that is indeed allowed to take on the Mage/Cleric Multiclass otherwise limited to Half-Elves if I remember correctly.

She is most definitely not limited in levels, I had her in a ToB game and she was an absolute terror as a spell user, especially with the ...

Granted you won't get a standard distribution...

So?

It still generates a 1-15. :) Works well enough if you want to get insanely complicated that is. ^_^

In my PnP games people would be like 'Well...we have 13 possible choices, how do we roll 1-13?' and I'd be the (GEEKIZOIDAL)one to figure it ...

If you want complicated you could always roll a d12:

1,4,7,10 = 1
2,5,8,11 = 2
3,6,9,12 = 3

Oooooorrrrr..........

How about...a d10+d6-1 (generateing a 1-15)
1,4,7,10,13 = 1
2,5,8,11,14 = 2
3,6,9,12,15 = 3

Of course you could always create an Excel spreadsheet and then enter the following ...

You need to move up behind the target either invisibly or stealthed. The attack you make then will be a Backstab, but only if you attack from behind, and are unnoticed.

Also, some creatures are immune to backstab -Barbarians, Dragons, Golems and the like.

Hope this helps. :)

Don't forget that there is a cap to your number of attacks, if the number is at 4, then except for Whirlwind and Greater Whirlwind, you can't go higher, no matter if you do have items that are supposed to add attacks (Like Belm +2).

Here's my spin on the Felllowship:

Aragorn: Ranger, just a ranger...probably about 8th or 10th level.

Boromir: Berserker, which I believe is supported by events in the book, not the least of which was him taking all those arrows from the Orcs.

Gandalf: Actually...he's pretty tough, being one of ...

Did you kill the big altar? That will keep the things from spawning, and the spell he is using is likely Symbol of Stun (Save at -4, or be stunned 2 rounds +1 round per three levels of the caster).

I don't think there really is a defense against that....except for Barbarian Rage, or Berserking or ...
