Do you still have a save file from the character where you've beaten the game (doesn't matter if it's right before the endboss, right after, or where ever)? If you do, then follow these steps:

When you load up the game to the title screen, does it say "1.3" in the bottom left corner of the screen? If not, then the patch didn't install correctly (make sure it's pointing to your DL folder).
If it does, then I'm not sure why you aren't seeing the results... as far as the in-game map goes ...
