I can see the goodness of a raged, GWWd dwarven berserker using Axe of the Unyielding to chop his enemies to little bits. Yes, he will never fail his save and he will have at least 150 HP. But is he the *BEST* tank in the game? I don't think so.

If my memory serves, the following procedure cuts disc logistics down. Do a full install. Make a shortcut in desktop to BGMAIN2.EXE (not sure about the exact file name). This skips the launcher and starts the game outright. Have Disc 6 (TotSC) in the drive at all times. No need to change CD

Well, the cap restricts you to a 20th level mage. Whether that's 'upper levels' or not is for you to decide.

A 20th level mage can get only 2 9th level spell slots (3 with a gnome illusionist). The multi can get Use Any Item and lots of Spike Traps/Assassinations. The dual will get a higher mage ...

The multi is a better fighter, the dual is a better spellcaster. The multi misses out on a *lot* of spells, especially if you have a full party.

But basicly it narrows down to that: if you want a great melee type with clerical power, take the multi, if you want a great cleric/druid who can help in ...

Quayle is basicly the same as his stepdaughter in BG2. With worse stats and less cheesy spell arsenal, of course, BUT is a very able character and not nearly as bad as Tiax, for example.

You can only dual Beastmasters ad vanilla Rangers. No Stalker/Clerics or Archer/Cleric with ToB.

Note: If ToB is NOT installed, any Ranger kit can dual to cleric.

I have to disagree here. Minsc wasn't much worse than Shar in melee and had proficiencies in long bow. The number three ...

Celestial Fury is about the best weapon in SoA (not ToB).

Hindo's Doom is actually the most damaging weapon in the game with Kai and Backstab. But compared to other weapons, it sucks a**

Katanas are still better than daggers but there are better weapons in every other type.
