Obviously, I do plan on playing in Argyle, but I wasn't certain about playing in Soberdan with my BotB character. However, I didn't really want to wait until the whole continent was set up (I was thinking of starting in Port Hope or Hemdale, 2 of the less popular places, it seems), so I'll probably ...

While I wasn't planning on being from Soberdan, once I heard that was going to be the first derver up, I rewrote my bio to fit the place. I will probably be starting Matti in Soberdan. His father was from there anyway, so they bio worked fine. I would consider holding off if others in the guild ...

Magus, I agree with all the propositions you mentioned. The "waves of criticism and angry replies" seem to be more like ripples. :)

The important thing everyone needs to remember is that this is a story , not just a RPG. We don't have to roll dice. We don't have to keep track of HPs, we don't have ...

Personally, I would lean towards starting a new story. Sedge has absolutely been one of my favorite characters I've played, but I just can't see continuing on with Aegis' story without him. I for one would love to get something similar to this up and running again. If Aegis is interested in moving ...

However, as we form the guild and create in-game relationships with eachother, it will be possible for guild members to meet in the guild house and go adventuring together at more random times. Otherwise, when you log on like me for an hour or two here and there, you either end up soloing or you ...

I was playing about 1979-80, and I know it had been around for a few years. I believe it's from the early 70's but didn't gain popularity till later in the decade. Not at home so can't reference my "ancient texts". :)

dunno. I was sad to see it go, but RL came in and kicked me in the teeth! (well, summer, work, new child, all that) Wouldn't mind seeing it come back one bit, though. Was quite fun.

We were able to discover the previous owner of the text who presumably brought it from Port Hope, though he has long since left Arberdan. Matti, Connavar, and a few of the other Blades are attempting to track him down, though thus far all efforts have failed. Finding a lone merchant among the ...

Another good reason to get with eachother before we start and figure out a way in our backgrounds how we know eachother. That way we can start together as friends and have a better chance at survival. It's a rough world out there.

I have had far too much creative energy waiting for Silver Oak Studios to come out with the D20 Argyle setting, (and also waiting for my pocketbook to get enough for a system upgrade so NWN will run on my machine) so I thought I'd write a bit more. Let me know what you think. I'll post some more ...

Banshee Journal

The following are the pieced-together findings of a journal found by the paladin Mattias Il-Amin from an anonymous merchant in an Aberdan bazaar. The merchant who possessed it did not know the origin of the journal, nor apparently it's worth as it was bought for mere silver. The man claimed he'd ...

Matti's body cried out in protest as he sprinted toward the shattered boards once covering the window and looked out onto the half-cobbled street where his friend and the winded half-orc struggled to regain their feet in the mud and rain. Matti's sodden feet seemed like lead and sent sharp pains ...

I'm going to revive the story thread tomorrow with a new post (which I've already started so nobody add to the story yet), partly because I've got a slight creative burst and little to channel it into. Still upgrading my system to fit NWN requirements. *grumble, grumble*

@wolven- could you edit ...

I't not hard at all, CM. :) The timing is set up by each DM according to the pace you all want things to run. The DM can send out what's happening and you post your responses. A round can be a day, or more, or less, depending upon what everyone can do. It's certainly slower paced, but that's ...

Personally, I plan on playing a character with a very open mind, but with no experience other than the negative things he's learned about mages (Shrouders) through their reputation. I'm planning on leaving that up to what happens in-game. If I adventure early on with a mage and become friends, that ...

I agree wholeheartedly. I haven't been involved in PBEM games for long, but they're definitely fun and they allow you to immerse yourself in the setting and your characters in ways CRPGs can't accomplish. The pace of a computer game often doesn't allow you the carefully thought out dialogue and ...

And it's probably a good topic for a separate thread, but I think Nippy's right. It will be an individual choice. Many of us have grown up in parts of Argyle where Argyllian Mage-Hate(tm) is the norm. While the Banshees of old may have been tolerant, many of the new BotB will have the prejudices and ...

Xan, can someone change the color of the flames/energy around the blade to be white or pale? It might look more "banshee-like". That's a great logo!
