i heard it was on the deamon knight in the tower the first time you see him when you take the tour. when you kill him at the bottom of the tower, he dosent have it, only upstairs. since he casts a fire ball spell then vanishes, good luck! ive also heard of someone killin him using the wand of sleep ...

oh yes, it says it will effect the magic user you hit with it with miscast magic, it also says the results are cumulcative. it also says it grants the user of it the ability to cast dispel magic once a day

it says in the item discription that the axe can cast dispel magic once a day, but it doesnt. ive tried everything, and it doesnt seem to have this ability. is this a bug? or am i over looking something?

one good cloak thats often overlooked is the cloak of the wolf, it will give the wearer a str and agl bonus when activated

wow, thats really strange, ussually paired npc's will insist about joining up, its either both or none. was your entire party present when you tried to get minsc to rejoin? or did you just send yourself into the buildidng in nashkel where you stashed minsc? hehe, or do you care? minsc is a good ...

it would more than likely depend on your charisma.

lots of items use charges in bg1, wands included. of course you can allways sell them to vendors then buy them back fully recharged if you wish.

back to your original question {chuckle}, have you tried sending minsc alone into one of the caves or a building then removing him from the party then returning to him once you have rescued his witch? this should work. try it then let me know.

i allways do the gnoll stronghold quest before the mines, lots of good loot, and easy if you take rest stops allong the way. resting at the cave at the angry smurf village {xvarts) and once again at the wolf cave should get you to the gnoll stronghold np. also, you dont have to talk to minsc or ...
