I don't think it would be considered dead because the sprite_is_dead variable won't be set (which happens when the creature actually dies in-game).

You could CLUA the creature in or alternatively import the character into multiplayer, keeping all the items and then transfer the save to the normal ...

In a game that is designed to be modded I would sincerely doubt if you can't change henchman portraits.

I would say there are two ways you can do this:

1. You find the filename of the portrait and replace it with your portrait using the same name.

2. You find the source file of the creature using ...

See here for Domi's IWD NPC's, good work and worth a try if you've played IWD2 and want to try something different or liked BG2 but not IWD1.

This will make IWD2 more like BG2 and has the 3e conversion that is IWD2.

I think smaller parties level up too quickly. Doing something like this would be a challenge if you used something like SimDingo's XP fixer.

Use this in the CLUA console:

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("BHEYE")

The creature should appear wherever your mouse pointer is at...or the nearest valid floor space.

Possibly Kmonster was thinking of the BG1 Ring which doubles your number of level 1 spells.

I PM'd Nur Ab Sal but never got a reply.

Anyone else I've talked to doesn't have anything further than where I am...which is Montellieu.

Anything after that or near the endgame would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Just on a side note: I was looking at the map of Faerun (see my sig) and noticed that its about 50 miles from Candlekeep to Beregost and about 150 miles from Beregost to Baldurs Gate.

That leaves quite a lot of distance for charname to go to get any kind of life experience other than wandering ...

It's an interesting area to think about in any game where you start out with no experience.

The one I've seen discussed the most was when BGtutu came out and offered kits to BG1 characters and someone asked; how does charname manage to become a kensai when living all their life in Candlekeep?

But ...

It depends who you talk to. I never min/max stats because I think its lame. Other players think its okay just because you can do it.

If you were being strict you would roll stats 2 or 3 times, take the highest roll and re-allocate the results as needed for the class you wish to play. This should ...

Even without a script lack of knowledge of area effect spells can bring a ranger/paladin low.

I don't know how many times i misjudged abi-dalzims horried wilting and fried half my party...but to be honest the chances of frying lots of innocents is low as there aren't many area's where you fight ...

Unless of course a mage in the party happens to kill a bunch of commoners with an accidental fireball. As the PC you are responsible for all your party members actions.

This does happen to newbies from time to time if it is not something they are aware of.

Kensai/mage can wear mage robes, you just won't see the robe animation ingame. The game does not contain an animation for the kensai wearing a mage robe. You will still retain any abilities or protections related to the robe you are wearing.

The only reason I'd recommend a fighter class for first ...

Ring of Free Action won't protect you from a spell. The spell Free Action may free you from Emotion:Hopelessness if cast on you by another.

I've not tested this.

Personally I think your first run through the game might be disappointing as a Kensai or kensai/mage.

There are lots of weapons and armour that you will find and most of it you won't be able to use as a kensai and even less as a kensai/mage.

You may get more out of your first run through as a ...
