Occult item locations as of 5.9?

I've just started playing this again and i last played when the unofficial patch was on 2.9! Now i have updated to 5.9, it appears that several of the occult items have been moved, and from the change log it seems a few have been added (not sure about that though)!

Does anyone have a list of the ...

Those RDD archers (given that you can buy bows with a high mighty bonus on them) do a lot of physical damage.
I may get some levels in RDD as well then, im only level 5!

Oh, and love the quotes on ur sig!

I haven't played a bard extensively, so I wont be able to give you the best advice. Though I once fooled around with a elf bard/arcane archer. Proved to be quite deadly with the bow and he also had a silver tongue. ;)
I was thinking about upgrading my skill with a bow as a prefer using that to ...

5 levels in Cleric might not be good enough. If you really want to experice the raw healing power of a cleric, then I would recommend one with a level 17 caster level, at least. This is especially true if you are playing MotB.

I was only meaning to go cleric to add a bit more support capability ...

Bard/RDD

As the last time i played a bard i loved it (sadly my pc broke and i lost my save) ive decided to make another!

I was thinking either Rock Gnome or Half Elf for class and i was going to go 10 Bard and 10 RDD (as RDD gets some sweet bonuses!).

In terms of combat i was going to be mainly a caster ...

yes halfling is good. from the 2 i d get strongheart because they get a free feat like humans (i d get luck of heros). use dual kukris or dagger (kukri is better) do not use short sword or any other small weapon with halflings cuz it will count as medium and you ll suffer a minus to attack bonus ...

well if you enjoyed playing fighters before go for monk and do not multi class (or maybe add 4 fighter for higher bab if you are playing MotB so that in the end you will have 26 monk/ 4 fighter).

if you want to play a rogue i suggest you go for 1 shadow dancer and the rest rogue. raise bluff (for ...

Also, for each class what are the must have attributes (str, dex, cha...is attribute the right word ...

Multi-classing

I am currently a level 11 Sun Elf Wizard which i am finding excellent at taking down mobs (gotta love aoe!). However, i always see people multiclassing a lot, but i have never tried it. This is mainly because i have never played D&D, only NWN, and so am confused by such abbreviations like HD (where ...

And just a note- Scribe Scroll (Feat) is something wizards automatically get at 1st level, and it's not required for scribing into a spellbook, Spellcraft is actually what's required for that sort of thing. IIRC, it's DC 20 + Spell Level, so if you have a 4th level scroll you want to scribe, you ...

Yeah, in NWN2 you don't have an item slot devoted to your spellbook. To scribe a scroll, you have to right click, (examine) and the fourth tab from the listing ought to be scribe scroll. Write it down and you're good to go.

Oh, ok, so i need that scribe scroll skill and some blank scrolls.

Once ...

Not noob, just dumb! Wizards Spells??

I know that as a wizard i can memorise spells from items not just from leveling, and in NWN1 it was simple, i just dragged a scroll into my spellbook (B). And i learnt it, im sure it was that easy!

My one question is, if you havent guessed by now, how on earth do i do it in this game?!

I LOVE my ...

@Anax, Ill have a look in the files later, the Protean settings appear to be confined to 2 files so it shouldnt take long for me to find out if it is at all possible.

@ellipsis, if i knew what the standard frenzy effects were, i could just add on the Gangrel clan bonuses and modify the files to ...

1) Thanks, I'll give it a go with the official patch, and if that doesn't work with the 3.3 in addition...

2) I would just expect at least the intro to work, once I get to the settings I could try to tweak them a bit (that way I got the game's predecessor to run on half the required video RAM ...

Claw Damage

Altering this also seems very easy, i havent yet tried but im 99% certain it will work!

Go to vdata\items and open either "item_w_claws", "item_w_claws_protean4" or "item_w_claws_protean5" (depending on which skill level you are at).

Scroll down until you find:

"Attack_Rate" "0.5 ...

To people who think Gangrel Protean is weak...

I dont know if this has been pointed out but i have found a way to buff the buffs which protean gives, i havent yet figured out how to add effects, but Anax might know and i will keep looking...

To imcrease the wits/stamina/strength buffs you will need to edit traiteffects000.txt in the vdata ...

No. Here's a breakdown of all the xp you can get for this quest:

1 point for giving the pendant to Therese
1 point for giving the pendant to Jeanette
1 point for refusing to give the pendant to Jeanette

Obviously, some of those are mutually exclusive. You get the ...

Are you using any patches? I use the 1.2 official patch and the 3.3 (the latest) unofficial one.

Thats all the help i can be im afraid as i spend way too much money on my PC to keep it all up to date (which for some reason always ends up being a pain in the ar*e to get to work!)!
