Hmm I didn't test this but theorically Greater Whirlwind SETS your attack per round to 10...... and improve haste is suppose to double what you currently have...... so if you cast improve haste right after you start GW would you get 20 attack per round? (prolly not but it's an evil thought)

Yeah basically using the holy avenger is a better idea than duel wielding (for a Paladin at least....... if your a blade who can get use any item I still preferr duel wield save for a few rare cases.... my favor combo is crom fryer on off hand with the ansewer, really great against all those darn ...

Well if you don't use spike traps this fight will be pretty tough....
the most annoying part is that he keep casting invisibility so even if you have true sight or whatever on he still disappear for a few sec and all the spells your trying to throw at him fails, I dunno if you could stop this if ...

Well if you could beat the mage to get him back I don't think it'd be impossible to beat the prison... just prepare a lot of spells.

Ack bad pick short sword IMHO, only one even worthwhile in the whole game and you need to upgrade it... not very easy to get to.

You get a ton of good long swords (more than any other weapon) though non are super good like holy avenger etc...

There is a really good axe that u can get in the end ...
