one more thing...

I was a dork and didn't go into the nearby cave where there was a rebirth fountain so I had been respawning a long way away...so go into the cave by the storyteller to find a rebirth fountain...

Yay - i got him! For anyone else having problems run around him until he fires off both his freezing attack and his meteors - then hit him a few times and run off to the cave entrance where he can't attack you. Heal up if you need to and do it again and again. For extra insurance I drank ...

I can't seem to beat Barmanu - he keeps freezing me and then calling down the meteors. Any tips? It's really annoying to have to respawn soooo far away and I'm getting ready to quit.

well Cassavir ended up being the one to win the day. With all of his Paladin powers activated he basically just kept hitting him - taking no damage at all...

OK - I've tried to battle using Kelgar. He gets the guy down to no HPs but can't kill him in "frenzy mode" I tried battling him with my main character and get killed. I tried battling with Qara and get killed. Is there any advise you can give me? Will Cassavir beat him? I thought I'd ask for some ...

i actually really like him...he seems to stay alive after everyone else has died and has finished off several tough fights...

I finally had to go to an earlier save point - and I went back into the burning house - after that it was fine...have no idea why...

fyi - I had the same issue and reloading an earlier save did fix it. Rather annoying though...

It's definately a bit clunky though I'm finally used to the weird camera. What bugs me the most is the "quick"save - I save quite a lot and it takes too long for a quicksave. And reloading is also very slow....Ok the whole game is quite slow but it's very interesting and generally fun so I'm ...

I'm stuck with Shandra too. I saved her at her farm, but when I try to talk to her nothing happens. Now I'm afraid to continue because she might disappear. I think she's critical to continuing right?

actually I should have been clearer, this is the second time going to her farm. After visiting the archives. Sounds like you're talking about the first visit. Thanks for replying though
