I've felt a bit of nostalgia recently and decided to toy around with the premium modules. I enjoyed Shadowguard a lot, even though it was mostly a prologue to an untold adventure, and I liked Kingmaker, because it wasn't - there was a story with a semblance of an ending.
However, I've found a bit ...

It's been a long time since I did Watcher's Keep, but I honestly don't remember any trouble with this part when ToB-leveled. I usually give the demons a Holy Smite or two (this is a very neat spell because it doesn't hurt your party if there aren't evil people in it) or, if I have any, a Dragon's ...

This isn't something you should publicly admit
Hey! When BG1 came out here in Poland, it was on 6 CD's, and most people didn't have a pc that cpuld run it! Our family was exceptional because my father was an architect and was right there at the front when new design methods came out. This ...

That level can be a pain if you're not doing it in the right order - that is, if you don't enter the fire laboratory first, talk to the imp, deal with the big ventilator and so on. Now, I don't remember well enough, but there is one extra key in the green room (poison laboratory or whatever they ...

Sorry, but nope. If the party has gained experience, then the party has gained experience. The end. You can manually give exp to one character by cheating (not sure about the console but certainly via ShadowKeeper), but that will be experience points "out of the void", quite apart from anything you ...

Well, that explains a lot, thanks. But how do I patch a steam game? I don't really know the first thing about this, I googled the matter and it seems there are no patches available for the steam release for some reason (?)
Sorry I'm being dumb here, I never thought I'd come into contact with Steam ...

Both good points, although I still think violence is not a good benchmark for Forgotten Realms, because if it was, there would be no good people in there at all, by that definition. Everyone kills.
Also, I don't remember 'groveling' to Keldorn, but maybe some of it was lost in translation. Agreed on ...

I found that tip while googling the problem, and did that already... the frame rate in the ini file was specified as 30, I changed it first to 45 then to 60 but it didn't change anything at all :( I don't really want to cheat in boots of speed, but I guess I will have to, I just don't have enough ...

Speed in EE
Guys, help!
I got a gift of BG EE on Steam (damn sweet thing, too, being gifted by someone half a continent away :) ) and I finally managed to run it. I know people are divided over it and Tutu and whatnot, but I'm pretty excited about it because I actually never got to finish BG1 in the first ...

I cannot unsee Thatcher as Viconia now... gah! Preferably with the Blackblood Club, or whatever the name was :D
Still, I can't really shake the idea that Seregris, my F->T of this playthrough, who's based on a pen&paper npc who was very nasty indeed, would take precisely none of her, um, garbage ...

Galraen, I'm not very well up on Forgotten Realms lore, but isn't the surface pretty much at war with the drow? That's what I thought, at least.
Anyway, I do think either both these situations, orcs and drow, are condemnable (is that a word?) or neither is. But practically everyone kills everyone ...

There was a lengthy discussion here on GB on "what makes Korgan evil," it was pretty interesting. I will repeat myself now, but for me, Korgan was just a ruthless opportunist up to the point where I talked with a hooker in the Bridge District, and Korgan said he likes women to struggle and spit him ...

Rogue Stone is for the door in the Bridge District, Tricky. This thing here is one of the many "nothing to see here, move along" points that are found in ridiculous places, such as "unfinished stairs" in a beholder lair or the friggin' Tree of Life , or a magically fastened door 'leading to an empty ...
