I agree... luck of heroes is awesome - and spellcasting prod. is a must for spellcasters...
about other feats...
for a warrior/fighter-type I allways take power attack and the cleave (later on great cleave). Cleave is a free attack you get when you down an enemy and another is in reach... I believe ...

I left him a fighter as well... since I figured that a monk with poor wisdom & dex is a better fighter... and I have him equipped as a fighter, so I could throw all his equipment away and buy new one?

...I am pretty much at the end of the story and I have read quite some pages about nwn2 - it looks like the Kelgar-quests are complete, once you can make him a monk. It doesn't matter which way you decide (and IMO he is a much better fighter than a monk. I didn't turn him monk either...)
