Sultanselim: very, very cool.

Well done with the screen shots and Bioware link. The game is dated but still continues to dazzle in new ways.

Thanks for sharing that.

The XPCap is 8,000,000 XP which a party of 3 will reach early in ToB.

The ultimate party needs a thief who can use all the thieving abilities. Since thieves don't get much better after level 13 and multiclasses gain HLAs as fast as pure classes, a single class thief is wasted.
Multiclassing with ...

Protect Aerie with Stoneskin all the time, that should take care of any surprises by annoying thieves.

Best regards,

Amen. I play sorcerer PCs or magic-heavy parties mostly. Stoneskin and Mislead contingencies are absolute essentials. I'd rather give up the Staff of the Magi or even the ...

I was referring to the Potion of Magic Blocking, but the potions of Magic Protection and Magic Shielding shouldn't be ignored either.

Dude, I played the game twice and never saw or heard of the first one. The second two (if I recall correctly) only appear in ToB.

And I doubt none of those will ...

When I played with Haer Dalis I couldn't get over his horrible saves and hit point count. He's a good dual-wielder but (holy hell!) buffing him so he could survive those tuff combat situations was a pain, especially in ToB.

By chapter 9, I was routinely keeping him in the back with his Improved ...

hOnestly, I'm about 90% power...10% role, based on the definitions outlined above in this thread. I can "get into it", but not that deep.

I actually look upon the role playing purists here with some envy but mostly estrangement. You're a weird little group in terms of your passions, but I ...

When I watch these videos, I have a few strong thoughts.

First, let's get the obvious out of the way. Wow! To a lay-player like me, that's a staggering achievement.

Second, I actually feel a bit bad for you because obviously, you have learned this game SO WELL, to perfection actually, that I ...

The biggest obstacle isn't related to securing rights or project development.

It's about finding quality people to donate and follow-through with their contributions without any expectation of monetary reward .

It's about not letting greed set in at any point...keeping everyone's eye on the prize ...

The G3 is ALL you need brother. Trust me.

1. SoA
2. ToB
3. Official Bioware ToB patch
4. G3 ver. 2.0

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = Good-to-go!

What official patch did you use, the SoA patch, or the ToB patch?

Try uninstalling everything, and then load (in this order):

SoA
ToB (ToB patches SoA, so SoA's patch should NOT ...

CFM, I read Gaider's comments.

The Ascension mod sounds great, although, the thought of a tougher Abazigal battle and a tougher demogorgon battle (without HLA's) is a bit terrifying.

I'll report back on the experience.

The dragons invade almost every game I play, they become larger and meaner, hell, they even hunt me in packs now. They are almost impossible to kill without reloading a hundred times, and the "victory" ain't worth the frustration and the pitiful treasure they drop.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I recall reading somewhere in the BG2 manual that the party receives an initiative bonus if their reputation climbs above a certain number. 14 was it???

It might be worth investigating because initiative is a pretty big deal, especially during round one of each combat ...
