There has been a long time since I played the game, but I have kept some notes from the time I did. There is one of Nameless One's phrases, which points to what I consider to be the right answer:

"If there is anything I have learned in my travels across the Planes, it is that many things may ...

There had been years since I played the game, but with regard to the Nameless One's incarnations, I agree with TheCrazdPariah's explanations.

And, back at the time I was playing the game, I had never felt there were any inconsistencies. More likely, going back and forth of time events than ...

BEST rpg EVER!!!

Anna,

Try to put your walkthrough aside, least you destroy the magic of the most wonderful and tragic stories ever told (in a game, anyway). In my opinion its place is amongst the greatest works of literature and drama; and after all these years no other game has even come even ...

Yes, it is. Once you travel to the area and take a few steps into the path a cut-scene plays with the Black Dragon initiativing dialogue with you and your party. If you didn't get it, I suggest you load your last saved game and try it again.

Did the cut-scene with the Black Dragon dialogue play? Once the cut-scene plays you know everything you need to know and you can't approach there.

Step one: you hold the sword -- not having it just in your inventory.
Step two: you place its icon in one of your quickslots, and then right-click your mouse. There should appear a menu with kind of orders. One of the them reads "Use".

If this does not work for you, I don't know what's wrong. Sorry.

I'm referring to the one we were analysing the whole story, Nameless One's fate and that of people around him (containing major spoilers); particularly you and Fable had had some very good arguments. Good old days! :D

I am not sure I understand the exact problem.
Place the sword on one of your quickslots, left-click on it and a menu appears. Its abilities appear when activating the "Use" icon. It works the same way other items or spell scrolls you place there do.

VonDondu! So glad you popped in! :D I was looking for our old discussion on the subject yesterday, to link my answer there, but I suppose it is too much to ask from a forum with a flood of thousand of messages.

I had nearly forgotten the fact you mention on the spoiler part of your post. Thank you ...

Vladimir has it right. Nameless One could die permanently under certain conditions, but then he would have to start the identity search all over again. The fact that he can't die is plot related; he is condemned to live eternally, one life after another, till he "knows" (as Dakkon would say) his ...

I'd love meeting *all* BGII (+ToB) NPCs, chit-chatting and see what they have done with their lives. Unfortunatelly, my favourite Keldorn was killed in a battle, as ToB ending tells. But maybe his ghost could appear, and help me in a dark time of great danger by providing vital clues for proceeding ...

Anyways, back on track. My guy in Fable got a scar right across his face like Squall from FF8.
Mine has 3 Squall-style deep scars across the right part of his face. Not very attractive I must say.

I played Fable:TLC; if this is considered "short" by me, then I can't really imagine what players of the original version could possibly have thought.

It could had been better, that's for sure. The game wasn't much of a challenge -- at least for those of us who have played again and again BG II and most of the available mods. I found it being a bit simple for my taste, a bit straight-forward, and most of all, too short. What bothers me is that the ...
I can only agree with this question. Why wouldn't it be BG3 if it is in 3D?

It wouldn't be BG3 if it were in first person view and real time and running around solo or with henchmen.
It would still be BG3 if done if the virtues of the ealier games were kept and it was now in 3D.

The ...
I'm in me0w's camp on this one. I have a strong feeling that a 3D engine will make BG3 another NWN disaster. 3D probably means you won't be able to make a 6 person party - so I predict its going to be more of a MW type solo action game. My other fear is that it will end up ...

Did you like NWN? (possible spoilers)

Just out of curiosity, I thought of asking the question.

For me, NWN didn't meet my expectations -- I was probably expecting a better version of BG2.

First of all, the story and the plot didn't achieve to catch truly my interest. Original NWN was good but not as nearly good as BG2. As for SoU, it ...

I started playing NWN this Christmas and don't know much about the game yet.

The only thing I have noticed is that if you don't accept the offered payment for completing a quest, your alignment changes towards good. However, I don't think it is related to Chaotic/Lawful path, but rather towards ...
