Keep looking, there IS a monster on the lose still. I'm sure I don't need to say it, but make sure you've actually uncovered all the map, there are a lot of nooks and crannies in the level. Split your party up, set the game to auto-pause when an enemy is sighted, try and cover as much as the map ...

Be patient, higher level spell scrolls are just around the corner. Out of curiosity, are you playing on Heart of Fury, cause 5th level seems kinda high for chapter 1? Or do u have a smaller party?

I respect fable's opinion, but something doesn't make sense. If charisma is only 12, wouldn't the spells simply not be there rather than "greyed out" as bellock claims?

Dextarity and Wisdom do indeed stack for a Monk

Spell levels are determined by your Cleric level, all wisdom does is allow you some extra bonus spells per level; your right about turning undead.

A Balrog is more like the monsters your fighting in IWD2, not a party member. He's more like a Pit Fiend or a Glebrezu or however you spell it.

Hide and Move Silently don't need to be put through the roof to be effective. Just be sure to either wear light armor, or take it off when scouting and you should be fine; your high dextarity will also help. I had a Monk as my scout and he was my primary scout by the time he was only level 5, he had ...

What I meant was that thief skills are not necessary to finish the game. Traps are nothing, just open everything with your strongest character; I've never found one trap potent enough to outright kill any of my characters so I just pretty much ignore traps. Lockpicking can easily be replaced by ...

Actually, because of the skill-based system in IWD2, Rogues are not crucial party members. They are very useful because of their high skill potential, but you can really make in through the game quite comfortably without one. In my game, I had 2 levels of Rogue only and I had no trouble at all.

Cheese often means to exploit a bug in a game to gain an advantage or to exploit a game engine's limitations such as with Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale 2. One thing I've done on many occasions is to leave a map in the middle of a battle when I'm losing horribly, heal up my guys and return ...

I've been wondering about that too. Perhaps there is an auto-save at the very end that you can go to. If that is the case, you can export your characters at high level and then import them into Heart of Fury.
