actually, as you get more attacks per round, the Speed Factor will contribute less and less, as the game engine will have to "fit" more attacks into 6 seconds. This is true even if your weapon details "say" it has a high Speed Factor.

From my expiereince with archers (I've finished ToB twice with an archer in a party), you shoud defenately specialize in Shortbows and Crossbows.

Here's why:
A. Tuigan Bow +1/Light Crossbow of Speed +1/Drow Crossbow of Speed +3:
all these weapons add an EXTRA ATTACK PER ROUND. With Archer's ...

I'm totally with Cuchulain82 on this one: since a Consular will mainly fight with the Force, what you want from your first class is a better defensive abilities (to let you stay alive while using the force) rather than offensive abilities.

And Scouts have exellent abilities:

My favorite was Solari+Phond+Mantle of the Force. Insane damage, some of which is of Phisical and Light Side damage types (meaning it piercess through shields, that protect against Energy damage)

"Keen" weapon is a wepon that has it's Critical Threat Range doubled. For example, a single-bladed lightsaber, that usualy has a Crit Range of 19-20, with a keen property has a threat range of 17-20.

I beg to differ! While high-level spells are of course mor powerful and versatile, in some situations a carefully built (and properly used) sniper is the best man for the job.

Bards get bard spells, not sorcerer spells - the selection is a lot more limited for them. You can look it up in IWD2 section of Gamebanshee.

I think I got it form the fight that happens just as you enter Severed Hand. But I think many fights/containers in Severed Hand can produce it - you just have to be patient and reload a lot.

Unfortunately, you cannot chose Unarmed Strike as a Weapon of Choice in NwN.

You can, however, chose Kama... (which, if used by a monk, uses the 'monk unarmed attack table' to determine your number of attacks per round)

Kamas will also be usable by a duel-weilding char. Actually, a char with a BAB ...

well, that depends...

i guess overall slings are the most effective:
- do blunt damage - very common resistance in IWD2
- works with Rapid Shot
- good sling available very early in the game
- an UBER version available: Sling of Pain +5: +5 ...

Unfortunately, number of attacks is capped at 5/round, 6 while Hasted. So there's no reason for a monk to get BAB above +13/+10/+7/+4/+1 (from the number of attacks point of view, of course - better BAB is always welcome, of course).

2 more attacks can be added if duel-weilding Kamas - thus giving ...

fram what i see in all the tutorials on the web, content in /OVERRRIDE should... well, override the standart ones. How do I get to work?

Favorite:

Tank's weapons:
Great Axe of course - Widow's Sorrow (I tend to use it over other greataxes, up until +4! The extra criticals are really something!)

Haft Over Head - my tanks tend to have specialization in axes anyway, so a bit of flying +1 bludgeoning damage is extremeny useful.
