I played baldur's gate 1 over a year ago, and I fancy having a go agen. Out of interest I cant remember the best weapons were (excluding drizzt's weapons)???? I remember a nice long sword and a spider sword but not much else....

I'm a lawful good paladin, and i had two draw on holy mights and two minor healing spells as well as the anti evil ones....I didnt use them all that often BUT I just checked them....I still have the detect evils and protection from evil abilities BUT holy might and healing are gone! I finished the quest for aran linvail to tell get me on the boat to rescue Imoen. I saved the game just before i respoke to him and attacked him. Instantly, some geezer called arkanis gath?? appeared and instantly killed 4 party members. Surely if u side with Bodhi this is an impossible fight....OR ...

On the tactics areas of this site, it quite often says "summon plenty of pets" or words to that effect. This sounds good in theory, but I can never control more than 5 at a time, which is pretty useless if serious cannon fodder is needed.

Why is this? What can I do to get around it?

I did the "correct" thing and did not sleep with Aerie..and she seemd to repect me...however since then, she has sed nothing to me at all....i dont get it! I'm still doing chapter 3...is that any reason?
