Ok I did run a scandisk,unistalled reinstalled.
All to no avail.Sigh
It seems that I'll be using SK from now on to edit my earlier save each time I want to play a new game.
Anyway thanks for the replies!

I have Kelsey,Tashia and some bug-fixes.
I could unistall them but I don't think thatthe mods are causing the problem.

Gentlemen I do hope I will be able to join as well.
I am experiencing trouble with BG.
It seems that I can't start a new game.
I don't know if this applies to mp games as well.

IIRC if you have Jaheira in the party she will recognize him as a minor Zhentarim agent,but there is no quest with him

I am hoping for a solution here!

Anomen can attain grand mastery at the flail of the ages which is one of the best weapons.
He can use any armor and with Draw upon Holy might his stats improve drastically.
So he can easily be used as a tank.
IMHO he is the best cleric in the game!

I did worst the first time in the Rune.
After finally killing everyone and havind half of my party dead I didn't find the beholder eyestalk that is used for escape...
After 3 times I found it....

I like two weapons best.

Fighter/Ranger/Paladin/Barbarian :Thac0 is lowered by 1 for every level attained
Thief/Bard :THAC0 is reduced by one for every two levels attained
Cleric/Druid:Thaco is redused by 2 for every 3 levels attained
Mage:THACO is reduced by one for every 3 levels

If it is a corrupted file how do I resolve the problem?
Reinstall windows will be my last resort here and I really do hope it will not come to this!

The problem isn't at my saved games!
I can't start a new game!!!!
All of my saves are perfectly functional.
I unistalled and reinstalled everything and yet the problem still persists....Argh!

1.Jaheira.IMHO one of the better developed characters in the whole saga plus has an excellent if buggy romance
2.Korgan.Psycopathic killer with an axe.I really like him
3.HaerDalis.Good lines plus he's a bard,the most flexible class in the game
4.Yoshimo.Great thief,good lines,good ...

However your party must a rael force to be reckoned with!

Barnarian (GMT+1) same as the blade!

I have used SK only two times so far.
As for add ons I only have Tashia and the upgraded celestial fury.

I don't think it is a corrupt cd since I have played throughout the game for many times.The problem has only just manifested...

The party looks pretty good!
We have 2 fighters(Blueguy and me)
1 sorcerer (Melondar)
1 Cleric or fighter cleric (gnomethingy)
1 thief (DrSlikk)
1 Blade(Bruce Lee)
Sounds good to me.
The only problem is that Arcane seems to be left out...

Whenever I try to start a new game I get the load screen that says "starting new game" this loads about half full and then I get the sound of error from windows and the whole screen goes black.This happens whenever I start a new game either SoA or ToB.
