I just completed that section and went back out the way I came in. Up elevator, etc. Found no problem. Did you maybe hit lever again before you went through. If so, it would be possible to lock yourself in. I tested it and you can get through before it closes. Then you can not get back. Lever is out ...

I have played several times and don't recall a problem here. I am playing now and just entered temple, so will check it out. I usually save game prior to entering temples due to glithes in game and pc. I don't overwrite saved slot until am out. Best to open new slot after entering. Saved a few ...

By any chance do you have a Vista operating system? If so search this forum under vista problem. I have same problem. I have not tried any of the fixes for Vista. Just loaded my old pc and played it with XP.
