I haven't tested it yet, but I read that if you put off the Blight Orfan's quests until you encounter the approval bugs you can use the approval reduction from some of their quests to fix it

Too late to try that; I've already completed most of these quests.

As the for approval bug, I ...

About Sigrun bugs... (possible spoilers)

As many of you may have understood, I am referring to the approval bugs (not the quest bugs) of one of the buggiest NPCs ever, Sigrun. Whenever an action of mine (be it gift- or dialogue-wise) is about to increase her approval rating, it skyrockets to 100, only without the skills that she should ...

the new wizard apostate guy (party) reminds me too much of alistair. lots of humourous dialogue, plus a similar face shape. i just kept thinking omg... maric must have slept with alot of women.

LOL  My thoughts exactly. I don't want to overestimate Bioware, but maybe they did this on ...

According to my dialogue with Morrigan near the end of the game, getting the grimoire *should* have repercusions, i.e.: She needs to for the ritual to spare your life.

Both ways == Sparing Flemeth OR Killing Flemeth

If you spare Flemeth she gives you the key to her hut. So you can get the ...

I tried both ways. After you complete the quest you have no trouble convincing Morrigan about Flemeth's death if you spared her, so there is no difference to the plot. I didn't keep playing very much after sparing Flemeth , so there may be consequences further on, but I don't think so.

Thus, my ...

I don't think it's random either. It's has happened *exactly* the same for me (sequence-wise) on each occasion. Damned if I can remember the sequence however.

I will note that it occurred while "cleaning-out" the bandits for the Denerim (market) Captain quest. I *think* it was after returning from ...

I have done a lot of street-travelling in Denerim, but I never got the Revenant encounter. Maybe it's random, but are you sure you weren't talking about Gaxkhang from the Unbound quest ?

About the Reventants, they are not part of a quest as far as I know, but I guess if you find and slay all of ...

I have experienced a problem with another quest. It's from the "interested parties", the one where you have to place three dead drop payments in various locations. Two of them worked all right, but the one in Frostback Mountains (outside Orzammar) didn't. When I make the payment, the barrel appears ...

Oh, I see. Quite obvious really...

Yes floating numbers display all kinds of damage (weapon properties, runes, coatings, spells etc). It's color-coded based on damage type and that's why different damage types don't add up.

However, that's hardly helpful, isn't it? Usually you want to ...

There really isn't much you can do to keep Morrigan from acting the way you describe when you you opt to continue the romance. After a certain point you will be able to understand why that is. That's all I can really say without spoiling anything.

Ok, I think I know what you're getting at. I came ...

The damage score I was checking to compare items is the one displayed at the bottom left corner of a character's model in the inventory screen. I have the impression that runes have no effect on that (I could be wrong, but it's easy to test).

What do you mean by "floating numbers"?

Romance with Morrigan after completing her quest (SPOILERS)

I've just finished Morrigan's quest. When I gave her the real grimoire she was happy about it and said she would study it. When I talked to her again, she had begun to have feeling towards me and second thougts about our relationship.
Using save games I tried all possible dialogue options and found ...

Damage from runes is shown, along with the other weapon damage. It's even seperate from weapon enchantments.
Item Set Bonuses can be found by reading an item's description. (Rightclick on it, select the eye.)

Overall, I agree with the horrid lack of feedback and numbers. Feels like a guessing game ...

Unfortunately there is a great lack of feedback in Dragon Age which makes it rather frustrating at times. Debuffs is a good example (although they were shown in Dragon Age: Journeys  ). Set item bonuses is another. I also realized that damage from runes is not shown in a character's damage ...

There was a mod like this for the KotOR games which I always installed.

At least in DAO, they had characters take off the helms for dialogue and cutscenes.

Same thing for NWN2 if I recall correctly. Only main character had his helmet; cohorts had invisible helmets even while exploring.
I quite ...

Oops...

Sorry folks, my bad... I got a third journal update at some point, I assumed it was the third piece.
I found the blade on an Ancient Darkspawn (who wasn't there the first time I visited) in the Dead Trenches. I went to the tomb and finished the quest just fine, quest markers and all.

Thanks.
