I also found the Bard with a couple of levels in rogue to be a nice beginning character. Tommy does well as your henchman to begin with, but sooner or later you will want to use Daelan or Linu, or any of the others, and then you won't have the detect traps and open locks that Tommy is so good at.

You missed a lot judging from your post.
Do you have the grappling hand ? Use it.
Trying going to the fight and kick some butt. You have to fight the guardian before tossing the catapult .(highlight to read, contains spoilers)

Sounds like you are doing almost everything you should. Couple of pointers.
First and foremost, death magic can be counter with the Uthgart belt or the upgraded amulet from Grimgnaw. There are a couple of other belts that confer similar protection as well. Belt of guiding light, etc.

I have to agree with a few folks here, the game was great, bit slow on start but interesting from the different viewpoints.
But the ending was disappointing.
It would of made more sense, going by clues in the mid game, for Atris to of been Traya, especially after the cut scene of Nihilus and Sion ...

I'd say Light side mostly, but the joy of this game is you can do both.
For example, had the extreme lightside points when attended the Jedi council on Dantooine , but found the arrogance and stupidity of the masters I had rescued too much to take. So .....Time to Terminate that relationship.

You have to have a door for him to disappear, but it does not have to go anywhere or be openable by pc. It can serve as a final waypoint.

Don't let the posted game requirements fool you.
A faster machine with more graphics will be a major improvement. As you add mods and haks to your game, it will use more and more resources and make for a better game experience all around. I highly recommend Tony's AI improvement and CEP 2.0

Cool! Glad that helped Macbaffo, and Yes, Loki, it is a puzzle, but the script is supposed to open the door win, lose or draw. Let's just say that you do not have to fight the swords to open the door and get the rod. They only turn hostile on attack or multiple wrong answers.
