This really is like comparing C&C to Quake 3, innit? D2 is all about item gathering and skill allocation, however much some people would disagree. The point of BG2 is role-playing, with a healthy dose of strategy. They're both excellent, though, in their own ways.

Not in a million years. **GRRRR** Nor Oxford Utd either, they're sh*te. I'm an Arsenal man, cos I was born less than a mile away from Highbury and grew up there.

Erm... It's not for turning your dead party members undead - it's for killing existing undead (skeletons, liches, vamps) or with an evil cleric winning them over to your side. It is an exclusive action, so you can't fight or cast spells while doing it. The only thing that can help your dead is raise ...

You can... I tried it once, then reloaded. You're right, it doesn't sound quite right from a role-playing perspective, but why anyone would bother is beyond me.

IIRC, I found it in a chest in Jan's house, in the slums, downstairs. It's a quest item, too, so if I kick out the person with it, it gets transferred to my main char. Don't have a clue what it does, though, the only ogre who's even slightly challenging is the jailer in the illithid tunnels in the ...

Who's the hardest char to play?

IMHO, it would be a wizard slayer dualled to a mage. Then you could only use magical weapons, robes helmets and boots. http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/eek.gif

Limited Wish quest

When I was just beginning the game, I got a limited wish scroll off Lady somethingorother in the Adventurer's Mart and read it. I got the option to do an "amazing quest" or something like that, and when I chose it, I got a note which said to go to the Copper Coronet I think. Unfortunately I reloaded ...
