The single most powerful aspect of the game that I know of is the spell 'Harm,' which almost always works on dragons and many others that would be otherwise be tough to beat. Besides, cleric's turn undead ability is now almost overpowered. A ranger's firepower is now comparable to a nailclipper ...

Hmmm I guess I didn't pay that much attention to the topic after all. I didn't mean Sarevok to be the funniest NPC, but I'll still try and defend my opinion anyways.

Sarevok has another name, which is Koveras. This is exremely funny if you think about it, because Koveras is same as Sarevok where ...

I think Greater Whirlwind is the most powerful high-level ability in the game. First of all, Use Any Item is of not much use if you're dead, methinks. With the right weapon, character with Greater Whirlwind can cut through any character like a damn axe through butter. Protection spells can easily be ...

ah well, in taht case, my favorite NPC is Sarevok. I also like his undercover name Koveras. The reason I like him is because he takes more hits than anyone in battle, before he falls. Besides that, I rarely use him in my adventuring (as in, no suicide runs). I still have Koveras' Ring of Protection ...

Yeah, I have a really short question?

So, does NPC not stand for Non-Playable Characters?

Then, how is it that we call Playable Characters (which are PC) NPCs?

Really, aren't NPCs supposed to be characters like Baal or Ellesime?

This question does indeed, boggle me mind. Someone help!

Hmmm I don't know this decent conversation degenerated into a discussion about dusty useless books (no offense intended). Well about Baldur's Gate series, it is embarrassing to reveal that I have yet to beat the final chapter of the saga. But, I do love the entire series.

Baldur's Gate I, in my ...

As opposed to the opinion that seems to be popular, I think shakti figurine is a great item. Anyone read the description of Mail of the Dead +2? I'm like that mage, yeah (I'm so cool now). I would use the shakti figurine to transform one of my "comrades" into a blue robot and then send them to ...

In my opinion, an ideal party is 6 kensai/mages or 6 sorcerers or 6 inquisitors, depending on what party you're facing. In fact, there is no freaking ideal party. But, some parties are better than others, and I have to agree with this one dude's standpoint (I'm too old for quoting or looking up ...

Hmmmm, I am not entirely sure, but SHAR is the goddess of moon or night or moonlight or something like that. Therefore one of the very supportable and persuasive conclusion deducible from teh evidences is that SHAR is probably like walking trash bard-demigod so alignment does not alter, in any way ...

My dear Johnny,

I think I made myself clear on this a few months ago (might've been a year). I play good, but only on paper... see what I mean? Come on, good characters get all the advantage and good storyline. Being "willing to do anything to crawl up to the top," I had no choice to pick good and ...

BAH. This post contains few slight spoilers. Approach with extreme caution.

Heh, I played through SOA with a solo monk. When I got all the way to Suldannesselar my monk was level 40 with magic resistance over 100%. Irenicus tried to curse me off but he couldnt bypass the magic resistance so I beat ...

Solution I used... (LONG)

Before you begin make sure you have

1. Latest graphic driver
2. Latest sound driver
3. Latest NWN patch
4. Try changing graphic settings to 16 compatible and 'Fast'. Additionally, disable your sound and try running.
5. Some computers actually run better if you set your ...

Rapiers and Light Weapon

Rapier is a medium weapon but it can be used as a light weapon for racial size medium and larger, as you all know. So when i dual-wield 2 rapiers and i am a ranger shouldnt i get -2 -2 penalty at level 1?

Additionally, im a level 4 fighter and level 1 ranger (planning to take 4 levels of fighter 16 ...

my opinion is spell turning is best spell in the book, or wyvern call if youre sorc or similar solo... it really helps a lot, absorbing 12 levels of magic. it helps because it blocks mage magics, but be aware all innate magical abilities are level ONE. which means from a beholder, you could block ...
