I am getting back into oblivion to finish it and I am wondering what order you install patches/simple mods for best effect.

I am going to install Vanilla Oblivion first, but then do you go straight to Shivering Isles installation or do you do the official and unofficial patches first?

Thanks for the reply. I have seen some mention of certain mods that should go later or last in the install order like Ascension and some others. Can anyone tell me about that? Also, what about mods like Divine Remix and Ashes of Embers? Thanks again.

I am re-installing after messing up and would like to know when in the mod order I should install these mods:

Ascension
Divine Remix
Ashes of Embers

I am under the impression that I should install them before even the fix and tweak packs, is that correct?

Maxed meaning 18 or more? Thanks.

I think it has to be done at an inn, at least in the Original Campaign.

Is it more efficient to use 4 characters instead of 6 in IWD 1 or is it just asking for trouble? Either way I was searching around for a good party setup. I will post back with what my idea was.

I have planescape 2-cd edition installed in Vista Ultimate 64 bit and every time I exit the game it crashes/stops responding and I get the "appcrash.exe" details. Does anyone know why it would do this with the official patch installed?

Yeah, I think I am going to pass on the BG2 kits. They sound pretty overpowered in BG1.

EDIT: Never mind, just saw where you said level 8. But for the Sun elf, how did you dump 19 points in to INT at creation? I can only do 18 with one point left over.
