Is there any way to place books vertically on a shelf?

I wanted to create a library in my stronghold, but the piles of books all over just aren't very attractive.

Enchanted my ebony staff with:

3 seconds calm humanoid
3 seconds calm creature
3 seconds shock damage (using up the rest of the 90 points)

Sure, I could have just made it one instant blast, but this way I get to watch them stand there for a few seconds while the lightning burns their bodies to a ...

Looting summoned mobs

Probably an exploit, but you can loot monsters that you summon as pets, you just have to be really quick about it.

Save a lot, too, it tends to crash the game. Also, do not use the "Dispose of Corpse" option, it doesn't like that.

Use an area version of the spell "calm humanoid".

You can enchant a weapon with it, too, if you like.

The calm humanoid effect is a good one, although it's pretty cheesy to not have anything fight back. I like to hit angry people once with it and then talk to them. Usually they only have the basic stuff to say, but some of them are trainers. I also practice speechcraft on them. It's pretty funny to ...

As I recall, the entrance to Azura's temple is at the base of a giant statue of Azura.

I believe it's even on the paper map that came with the game.

Different souls determine the number of charges on the item. The most powerful souls with allow you to create constant effect enchantments.

To trap a soul you need to:
Cast soultrap on the mob and kill it before the spell wears off.
Have the proper type of empty soul gem on you.

It only works on ...

Enchant all of your armor with heal spells. Obvious, but here's the trick.

Don't enchant a few items with mondo soul gems, enchant a whole bunch of items with crappy soul gems.

You could enchant one piece of armor with some mondo heal spell and 100-200 charges and use it to heal yourself to full ...

Sword I made

I recently made a new sword:

Sword of Soul Devouring
Crappy sword with effect:
Soul Trap for 15 seconds
Bound Dagger for 13 seconds.

So the first time you hit your opponent you cast soul trap, and switch out the crap sword for a bound dagger. When the bound dagger wears off, you switch back to ...

If you really want to raise your int, it's better to have int skills in misc. That way, you can practice them without levelling.

I make it a point to practice Conjuration (a misc skill) to get 10 skill raises every level. This guarantees a x5 multiplier every level.

Misc skills are handy for ...

I think that x5 is the top multiplier you can have. I was in a long, long hand to hand fight that raised my skill over 21 points. At the end of the level I only had an x5 multiplier.

How do I raise security?

I don't think there are enough locks and traps in the game to raise security to max.

Other than training it, is there another way to practice this skill?
