I prefer the BG1 look, but regardless of which one is superior, BG1 had its own distinct art style and BG2 had its own distinct art style. The BG1 aesthetic fits BG1 and the BG2 aesthetic fits BG2. I like that. That's why I have never bothered with Tutu.

DRMed crap. Not going to bother with this. Other than vastly improved AI pathfinding and the rerendering of all backgrounds and sprites for high resolutions (which seems doubtful), there's not many ways Baldur's Gate can actually be improved.

Dark Souls anyone? Hopefully the rumours of a PC version are true, because I don't have a PS3.

Also, the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona games seem to be VERY interesting.

Since you have a Wii, you probably should have Xenoblade Chronicles preordered already. It's supposedly the best traditional JRPG ...

Why can't non-humans dual class? Why can't humans multi-class? My can't gnomes/halflings/dwarves be mages? Why can't elves be druids? There's a lot of stupid things with D&D - the blunt weapon restriction for clerics is the least of them.

Check out Jagged Alliance 2. It has the best cutscenes in the history of gaming, no joke.

Have you played ALL the Mario RPGs? Like Paper Mario, Paper Mario: TTYD? Lots of great stories and characters in those too.

You should also check out Heretic Kingdoms, a great action-RPG in the vein of Diablo ...

People, eat ****, millions of flies cant be wrong !

I dont give a damn what "most" people think is "best". The point of me playing a video game is ME enjoying that game, not me agreeing with everyone else what is supposed to be enjoyable.

So, for example, I dont give a damn if people think WoW is ...

I actually like the way potions are handled in Witcher 2. The idea of drinking of lots of potions in the midst of combat in RPGs has always bothered me. Witcher 2 potions really make think about combat beforehand and encourage you to be prepared, as an RPG should.

...right. Are you trolling, good sir?
Balance has absolutely nothing to do with complexity. It's all about diversity.

There's no diversity in BG2 when magic dominates every single battle it is used in.

I love BG and BG2, but the magic system is definitely not one its strength. Same with IWD2 for ...

Just because magic is totally unbalanced and completely overpowered in BG2 doesn't mean that it has a more complex combat system than IWD2.

Minsc is the worst of them, if you don't go within a certain time (not sure what that is anymore) he'll attack you. The first time I played the game I had trouble finding the fortress and he killed Imoen (her icon disappeared) before I could kill him. Last auto save was corrupt and my last non-auto ...

You can still explore the wilderness after reach Nashkel. I usually get Minsc and go on his quest as soon as I reach Nashkel, before I do the mines.

You are joking obviously, but you should have used an emoticon to make it clear.

The consoles didn't give us the Diablo-style RPG, or the MMORPG.
