Get Sword Coast Stratagems II, and mage fights will suddenly become interesting (and fair, due to pnp amounts of spells). I cannot imagine myself ever going back to the retarded vanilla enemies.

An Impr. Hastened warrior will do a lot more damage than a mage / sorcerer. So will a thief, a bard.. yada yada. The mage casts tenser and blades, and he deals as much, if not more, and when coupled with triple-horrid willing (chain contingency) you get insane burst damage. Still it's just temporary ...

Woah, someone actually giving tactical advice on these forums! I can safely retire now!

If you have that component installed, you can also use spell thrust, secret word or ruby ray to remove his SI.
Seeing how Ruby Ray is from a different school than ST and SW, you can cycle between these to ...

In confined spaces Dispel Magic will mess you up, and with sorcerer's limited spell picks you can not take both. One might argue that dispel magic is useful for removing debuffs from yourself and removing your project image..

But.

If you go the cheesy project image route (in vanilla, no less ...

Do you get to do anything else than hack in Dark Souls, though? My brother plays it, it looks fun, but mostly just swinging weapons.

If you dig well enough - because the game tells you NOTHING, and you have to find the lore yourself - you'll find one of the most rich and detailed (and dark ...

@Tricky : Dark Souls takes the cake, kills it AND eats it too when it comes to attention to detail and secrets. The fact that MOST games these days lack anything worthwhile at the second playthrough, doesn't mean that ALL of them were made by Ubi/Ea.

The only way to resurrect that NPC is via console. As for domination.. i'm unsure if trolls can be dominated at all. Never bothered with mind control (nor noticed trolls)

When it comes to fights with higher difficulty (SCSII on Insanity, and so forth) the flail is godsend. A slow effect with no save (good luck getting someone slowed down the regular way), coupled with side-elemental damage that breaks spells through mirror image and stoneskin, makes it an amazing ...

It can be installed on top of everything, but the tweaks that affect all items / classes / etc. will not affect mods added after them.

There can be some minor issues, but nothing to worry, hmm.

Spell Trap can be removed by the ray, and spell turning works only for a brief time. Spell Shield stops the anti-magic indefinitely.
Spell Shield AND Spell Trap gives you endless possibilities.

Every time the anti-magic ray is used - by a powerful beholder - you lose the highest level spell on that mage iirc.

Protect yourself with Spell Shield, it stops the anti-magic completely.

Contingency that is not linked to health/hit will fire whenever it feels like it.
Keep in mind, that the delay can be countered by.. pausing the game. Contingencies fire during pause and/or timestop.
