Need help w 2 family members multiplaying at same time

I'm hoping someone out there can help me.

I've been trying to start a game with my kids, but whenever we try to log on to a game I get a message along the line of "someone with this cd key is already on this server". We are using the same play cd.

Is there anyway that we could play together, or ...

Networking Question

I have some questions from someone more computer adept than myself. That means just about anyone.

I'd like to network my home PCs some I can play nwn with my kids, will I need another play disc or will it work with just one in one of the PCs.

If I do need 2 can the play disc be copied or will I ...

You can take the levels wherever and whanever you want, but I think if you switch levels with too much difference you will have some kind of penalty. For example if you have a ranger2/rogue1 you would have no penalty to add a level to either, but if you have a ranger5/rogue1 there would be an ...

Ranger/rogue makes a very good multilevel, but if you want a powerful fighter take most of the levels as ranger. In my experience a ranger10/rogue10 is not especially tough in melee combat.

I got to the Pinnacle and cannot open the door to get to get to Lady Aribeth and the others. Did I miss something or is it a bug.

City of Knightsbridge is pretty good. The main thing I watch is to see what levels are permitted. Sometimes it's as more fun playing at lower levels. Also before you click <play> check out the other players who are already playing. See if they are about the class and level you want to be playing at.

This is What It's All About!!!!

I finally played on some of the multiplayer modules. Wow. Now I see why they say the game is for multiplayer. I haven't had this much fun since pc's came out(yea I was around then). Anyone who complains either has not played it for what it's worth or they must need to plug directly to a wall socket ...

I guess it would make for some pretty linear quests and be pretty restricting. You'd have to play realizing the limitations.

@Lunarwater: What's the name of the new book? As good as the others?

Wow. I almost forgot about that series. I hope we're not the only two who have heard of it. You're right I think it would make an great mod. Afraid I haven't done more than look at the tool kit, but it would be nice if someone who had the time and ability would give it a whirl.

Imagine the other ...

Thanks Joe.

I didn't see if it would be made for someone who can play only once in a while though.

Any idea when argyle will be up?

Can you give an idea what it will be like and how to play along?

Would it be something for someone who can only play an hour or so once in a while or is it more for people who have plenty of time to play?

Just started playing a wizard for the first time myself. Never really tried one even in bg 1 & 2. It's been interesting.

I find you have to rely more on henchmen/familiar/summoned.

Spell effects are cool though.

Can't wait to get to a higher level.

I wouldn't put over 13 in wisdom. I didn't see much use in the higher level ranger spells. IMO the only realy useful ranger spells are the summoned animals. Loved the ranger/rogue combo for the short time I played it though.

I tried dualing ranger/rogue for a while. Comp crashed(not game related) and I started another, but the ranger/rogue made a good char.
A lot of related abilities. The rogue levels can be dedicated to traps/locks because you can hide/move with ranger.
You get the sneak attack with a powerful fighter.
