There are plenty of mods about which do this. It's unfortunate that "mod" has, in many places, become synonymous with "tactical challenge". Unfinished Business seems like the best example of what you're specifying, but basically all the mods I involve myself in are designed under the principle that ...

[QUOTE=Amran_X_Kaiser]Does anyone else feel that mods, although tactically challenging and highly addictive for us powergamers, have made you miss the way things use to be ? Waiting in the forest, running from bears or hiding in shadows about to backstab that single mage praying to everyone you can ...

That looks quite reasonable to me. I'm not aware of any reason to move Kelsey or Unfinished Business. You could probably dispense with the standalone bonus merchants since I'm fairly sure they're included in Ease of Use.

Divine Remix has always looked extremely promising, but it's been through a ...

Quest Pack should be installed after Kelsey and Keto if you want to see their interjections in the new content. (As a general rule, I recommend installing it last out of the "content-adding" mods. In your case, that'd mean just before Refinements and AoE, both of which should go towards the end.)

I don't see why it wouldn't.

However, I'd say Keto (http://www.pocketplane.net/keto/) is basically the best mod NPC out there. As professionally developed as Kelsey, and an interesting and hugely talkative character and sidequest to boot. No overpowered nonsense either. :)

Well, the general pattern would seem to be that AoE provides mundane throwing spears while the Weimer mods give you magical returning ones. Maybe both would complement each other, I dunno. :)

I'm given to understand that Ashes of Embers provides a lower-powered, more consistent approach to throwing spears than Item Upgrade. (It allows mundane spears to be thrown, while Item Upgrade restricts the capability to a +3 upgrade or something like that.)

Yeh, Tutu converts BG1 to BG2 with minimal story/gameplay changes, while BGT makes them a single game with a poorly-conceived transition and arbitrary story changes. If you're interested in playing everything through as one game, then BGT is indeed the only option (although I wouldn't get too ...

I'm not aware of any links to BGT which are consistently faster than about 10kb/s. I'm told the BlackWyrm server is being upgraded soon, which should make a difference.
For now, however, BG1Tutu may be of interest to you, since it's similar to BGT, but will do the job in a few hundred kb, and is ...

It's not unheard of for Baldurdash to break a few things as well as fixing stuff, but I'm not sure if that's the case here. I *think* Baldurdash prevents the swords dropping greenstone amulets, and if he's done this by simply removing them, then the creature's resistances will have gone too. However ...

For listings of all available mods, you'll want to look at http://modlist.pocketplane.net/, which is about as up-to-date as it gets.

And yes, www.pocketplane.net and www.weidu.org come highly recommended. :)

BG2 areas were rendered in 3dsmax (there's a screenshot showing this somewhere in the credits, apparently) as a single large image, but the TIS fileformat which stores them ingame is tileset-based, so the image is split up. Apparently this makes it easier to load a map efficiently or something.

There's dialogue and coding for when the guy shows up to confront his family, so if you're not seeing it, then yes, it's a bug. However, one of the big changes for Potion Quest Remix feat. jcompton & SimDing0 was that the guy's wife and child are no longer the same ones you meet in the Temple ...

[QUOTE=VonDondu]Is Kelsey fair game for criticism, like Anomen? :) That is to say, is Kelsey so omnipresent now that we can treat him like one of the standard NPCs? My last female character (keep in mind that I was trying really hard to roleplay) couldn't stand him. It might have something to do ...

Kelsey and Keto are, I'd say, the most worthwhile NPC mods around. Keto in particular I'd say it a must-have, especially if you're partial to female NPCs, although if you're playing a female character and going for romances, Kelsey becomes all the more attractive.

I have a feeling Weimer, never one to keep to the norm, had Solaufein abducted whether or not you were romancing him actually, although this is just from comments I've spotted, so it might not be accurate. I'm afraid I'm not sure what'd cause the issue described, though.

Quest Pack is the mod that introduces the other encounter in that tomb. I'll have a chat with the Black Rose author, since there are plenty of tombs to go around.
On a related note, did you get my PM?

"Cromwell smithy"

That for one will corrupt your game. It will work. It will be fine. But if you take old save files, then they will be messy with the system.
The fact that "Cromwell's Smithy" is an item editing tool, not a game mod, makes me slightly unsure of this.

Know I say this for ...

I'm afraid I don't have even a vague release date to give, sorry. Looking back, I should have bugfixed v1 and released that, but now I've found myself bogged down in new content. It's coming, slowly but surely.
